Don't bet on it! They're way over budget - many players still on expensive League contracts - the ground is inadequate and the council's very hostile. Sounds dreadfully familiar, non?

Ah yes maybe so but I would put five year's wage's on the fact that the council will have a big change of heart and sort it all out for the start of 2003/2004 season!!!
Let's just say overherd something being said about "Dont need another Enfield on our hand's" and "dont want to come out of this red faced, do we now"

Make your own mind's up!

Why would Barnet council (or any other for that matter) do that? They're interested in the borough as a whole, not just the minority interests of a few hundred. Unless of course there is financial gain to be had...

Expensive League contracts???

Who???

They've all gone! Financially we're in a good postion to go forward at Barnet, all be it on a part-time basis.

You never know, we might come back down your way to pick up any promising youngsters. Although the words Enfield and promising don't really belong in the same sentance do they.

That's what I heard as well Russ. I'm sure I overheard Terry Back talking to someone about it...

What? You trust Barnet Council? The same Barnet Council that easily remembered Underhill is on the edge of the Green Belt when you wanted to do some ground improvements (improved access and extra seating IIRC) but seemed to forget when it came to people building houses down Mays Lane? The same Barnet Council that has promised far more than it has ever delivered (don't forget, you are talking about politicians)? I used to live in the Borough of Barnet but fortunately I got away from their clutches (and, before you ask, I made sure I don't now suffer from Enfield Council).

It's amusing to see banter and insults flying between EFC and BFC again. It does bring back the good/bad old days.
