Worry less about which players you have on the pitch, and more about your team tactics. If you've mastered your tactics almost any player will play well in any position (accept goalies).

My demo finished halfway through season <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. cant get copy of game yet, but i was riding up high in the play offs(3rd) 2 points behind barnet who were top :S. I used a simple 4-4-2, with the team we would normally play.

Try using every menu in the tactics section. Tell each player where to be for every part of the game. If you can do that and find a system that works, you can win almost every game.

Well

Currently lying 8th in the table
No new players but Phil Handford has left to go to a league club, Andy Ford has turned down a job and Chris Giles rejected a loan move, turned down Celtic and went to Darlington.

Great fun

Did you lose then restart and play again until you won?

Meanwhile, mid-table obscurity beckons here.....

Nope, I started pretty badly, but found the right tactics, and started doing ok. When I started messing with player instructions I just kept winning
