Having heard the score and the fact that the ref gave concord 11 extra minutes of injury time, in which they scored the winner, i am amazed that the fans still called enfield fans cheats. i think it is the pot calling the kettle black????

Gave Concord an extra 11 minutes?

Had Enfield left the pitch by then?

I see not much has changed in the ESL. Locals refs for local people and all that.

When Town were in the ESL.I think the average time added on by the refs (when we were winning) was about 8-11 minutes. When we were behind or drawing it was 1-4 minutes.Very fishy.

Anyway,11 minutes is nothing. When Town were reduced to nine men in the second half against Brenwood a few seasons back, the ref played 24 minutes of added time, waiting for Brentwood to equalize.

Bit of a weak argument considering you won the title twice in three years...

Not only have Concord got the advantage of gasing the oppo every week with the sewerage fumes,it looks as though they had a local Caravaner for a ref as well. applause2

LS you werent even there mate. the ref was equally bad for both sides. Enfield bossed the first half of the game and we bossed the second half. was a very tight game and could have gone either way.

To be fair Lovely stuff we ourselves have had the Rub of the green as far as refereeing decisions are concerned in 1/2 previous games ,Most recently v Romford ,This match was one that went against us , Its swings and roundabouts ,Concord had us pushed back for about 30 minutes + the 11 extra . It did seem odd the ammount of added time as there appeared to be more lengthy stoppages in the first half than the second . Only 4 extra minutes were added in the first half ? But thats life I guess.

Edgware away where John Taverner added 18 minutes stoppage time, and we come back from 2 down to win 3-2. At least 2 of those goals were scored in injury time. Everybody who knows who he is knows why he shouldn't have been allowed to ref our games.

Or why he shouldn't be allowed to run the line for Enfield Town games. (which he does quite frequently).

And do you win more or lose more when he runs the line ? Blimey O'Riley this could be your next excuse when officials decisions go against you lot.

BTW L/S Did you see the news / Newspapers last week about the figure of a being of unknown entity walking across the martian landscape ? I was surprised the yanks let it out to the media as they usually hide stuff like that . Looks like the doubting thomas's could have egg on their faces eh mate.
