I was waiting wrapped up against the elements and nobody turned up I thought I was in Basilericay until I saw the quality of the football.

There was no excuse for not supporting today, weather, tuesdays defeat.

It was a game worth watching and besides nan had prepared 300 burgers.

I bet all the fair weather boys end up wth nice cosy seats at Hornchurch.

Come on yelloooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!

I was there!!!!

My hands were freezing and I couldn't hold my pen properly but I was getting everything down as quickly as possible. Keeping an eye on my notes, an eye on the game and my ears peeled for any calls of "heads!" while I was writing.

331 is a very poor crowd for a Saturday, Chesham I think brought about 5 fans. Others are probably out caravaning all over the country and will miss the Billericay game too!

I wonder if it is a record - two consecutive league games at home - and a difference of 3000 between them - or a 90% reduction - not good.

My fingers have just about thawed out from the first half, so the pictures should be up soon.

I am afraid I will miss the ricay game as I am taking my under 11's on tour, probably just as well as I understand the ricay fans have put a price on my head over my opposition to their move to GP.

I shall be watching this space on the night looking for an update please can someone put the score up straight after the game.

Please Please Please stuff it to em!!!!!!!!!!

I was there also. Great to see we have two burger vans now! Unfortunately I won't be able to make 'ricay' as Chris has had to cancel the coach because of lack of bookings and I will be damned if I have to pay over £10 to get there by public transport!

I wonder whether we should have moved this game to Good Friday to exploit the good weather and the typically high bank holiday crowds. As MoBrien said no excuses. If these people don't want to be bothered then they shouldn't turn up. The people who didn't turn up today were probably those who left ten minutes before the end on Tuesday, embarassing!! (I know a few who were on holiday, so they're excused!!)

Caravaning over the country? Well I know somebody who is currently residing in his caravan!! As for the five Chesham fans, one of them was probably a certain Steve P!!

i'd have to be on a holiday to miss a riccay game.. mind you they did register our 2nd lowest home gate of the season.. i could never have imagined that!!.. maybe our new rivals are the likes of grays, st albans and bishops?..

anyway looks like we will be playing 4 up front on monday, seeing as we have no centre backs left may as well go for a goal fest

No I reckon Craig Davidson will play at the back all on his own, or Ashley will be put in goal with Potter in a Sweeper position. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

But seriously, Protheroe, Dobinson & Dave Gregory can play in defence so along side Crow I'll suppose two of them will make the back three if no-one reaches match-fit before tomorrow.

We miss: Cheners, Cowan, R. Johnson, Benno, & Wardy - who'd have thought 3 seasons ago that if we'd lost two defenders in one game, we'd still come out of it 4-1 up!!?

Although CANV is right, what have we got to lose if we do go all out attack? We're garenteed second position now after Aldershot beat St. Albans and the Shots only need a point to take the title. They should do it at Sutton, Sutton lost 4-1 to Maidenhead yesterday!! But a warning to Shots fans - if you do a pitch invasion at Sutton, just don't lose yourself in the divets, they're about 6 foot deep so you'll have to jump to escape!!

Bring on 'Ricay! Against our presumably make-shift defence they might actually have a chance of playing football!!!

Although word about is Cowan is fit to play, but Jeff is saving him until he feels it's right and he's 100% recovered and fit.

we do play football as football is a game whereby two teams compete, to kick, head or propel the ball into each other goals

with youre injury promblems and the form of chris stowe 3 goals in 2 games we have a real chance of avoading the usual 3-0 thrashing

the defence has kept a couple of clean sheets on the bounce including against the divisions second highest scorers Ford

all i have to say is bring on the game and hopefully a good performance to bring the floaters back
