No mistake, that was the result.
There are suggestions elsewhere that the Beaumont side was put together as a "one off", but surely that cannot be the case !!
Anyway 3 - 1 it was.

well done chaps. Ive still got issues with the whole floodlight thing and in truth i think youll admit we pretty much pinned you back in your own half for the whole second half last night , but a win is a win . Decent game i thought. Best of luck with your title showdown with barkingside

superb post sir.

floodlights - out of our control,
last night excellent game, all round,
1st half - 1st 20 mins amazing pace very few chances, wrighty had to be sharp off his line a couple of times.
last 15 mins of half e's pin concord back but still very few chances.

2nd half, concord on the offensive, but again very few chances, with no more than half a dozen shots at goal in the game so far.
concord 6 at the back superb, wins every header. e's a bit too route 1 at this stage, and getting pinned further and further back. but they stuck at it, and finally get the big goal with 10 to go, as hughes wins a header against the concord 6 and sherwin out paces the rest to slide it beneath the keeper.

excellent match, best i've seen this season.
good luck to concord, they've got 2 finals to look forward to, and although a bit behind you never know what will happen in the league at the end of the season.

Two teams that shouldnt be in this god awful league but there we go.
Yeah i agree that for all our territory we didnt test your keeper nearly as much as we ought to have. Thanks for the best wishes, all we can do is win all our games now and finish as high as we can , probably third but nothings impossible i suppose.
Every time we have played you ive thought Mehmet was your best player and again last night i thought that. Your number 6 in midfield though , well i dont think he touched the ball once all evening, he was just running around.

Ps. Yes i know about the floodlights thing but youve got to see where im coming from on that and why its still in my mind and will be for ages.
I dont want to let that detract from last nights game though which i thought was played in a good spirit by both teams

OB you are being very gracious and philosophical about last nights's defeat and whilst the floodlights are beyond Enfield 1893 FC's control, the fact remains that that game could have had a major bearing on the outcome of the title winners.

Yes i know hookey but i cant blame enfield for that now. The only person who would be blamed for that is Rob Errington the league chairman who is the weakest bloke i know .
What has he done for this league , he has let in teams like Mauritius , apsa etc and he has had two big decisions to make regarding games this season and even though im biased , a neutral would say the same as me i feel. First thing was he had a chance to start our game from 2-0 etc but he bottled it , second one was hullbridge 1 barkingside 1 with ten minutes left but again he bottled it .

Even though the geezer is an idiot im not taking it away from both sides and where they are .

We were told from day one that come the end of the season the league table never lies , and it doesnt . We dropped points against average sides who we should be beating with ease and that is what has cost us.
I dont think we could have given it any more last night so thats why im really gutted and disappointed , but not angry at our performance or anything .

completely agree.
though sam had a bit of a shocker, but was interesting to see your 6 at centre half, looked like a decision based on dont want to lose, when he is in the middle of the park, he's such an outlet for the ball, could argue that he was the difference in the league cup games, wins the headers and set up many plays.
let hope e's and concord both go up,
the rumour mill has it that leyton want to drop down from ryman premier, but who knows what will happen in the ryman 1 north.
ilford & Wivenhoe looked dead and buried but have picked up, my monies on Tilbury to finish bottom.
