I remember reading about the Deputy Dave.

Chris Richardson at Furtherwick couldn't take much more and jumped before he was pushed. Wendy Missons the new Head has employed an even tougher zero tolerance policy. Something that should've been brought in a long time ago.

She's really attempting to turn the school around, bringing in stricter uniform regulations and she's even ditching the 'Ram' school badge moving more in favour of a Cornelius 'Initials' style badge...Sad!!

Things are going so bad with these teacher shortages, though I had nine different Science teachers in one year and for the past 3 years no less than 13 teachers have left EACH year! 15 left when I went from year 9 to 10, (that's 3rd to 4th for the 'old school!) including two Heads of Departments, one Senior teacher, 5 Science teachers, 3 Maths teachers and three English teachers plus a couple of others. That was the year I started my GCSEs and I couldn't have taken them at a more difficult time.

I was predicted 8 A*-C now I'm not blaming the school or teachers entirely, but having substitutes and a lapse in policy I would say cost me two C grades, (German & ICT).

So I only left there with 5 Cs, 2 Es, an F and a G!!!

But still 5 Cs were enough to get me into SEEC and do the subjects I want so I can't complain that much...

Blimey how times have changed. I left school in 1995 with two As, four Bs, four Cs and a D. You probably worked just as hard as me but still didn't get the grades. It shows how things have slipped in 5 to 6 years.

If they dont want to learn dont send them to boarding school. Send them off to a factory for a year of hard labour and then re-admit them into the school system a year behind then they would work. Also those who stop others from working in class should be locked in a room and left their over night. SECC general studies actually sounds like a subject wheras at Mayflower we are barred from dicusing political issues, are well at least their shall be http://war.proboards15.com to dicuss poltical issues on shame that hardly anyone in the year is interested in the site.

Wakefield was a quality bloke. He was there when I was in year 7, but left when I was in year 9 to go to a school in Grays. I was in the rugby team until he left, just didn't seem as fun with people like Roberts, Brown and Maclreath!

Did you see when he was on the National Lottery programme that time? He was such a laugh!

As for GCSE's, 3 A*'s, 3 A's, 2 B's, 1 C - I thank you!
