Sorry couldnt be there 2day just got back in and got most of the other resaults today as well.

Barking 2-2 Beaumont
Basildon 3-0 Clapton
APSA 0-1 Concord
Burnham 0-1 Bowers
Eaton Manor 2-0 Hullbridge
Southend 4-0 Sawbridgeworth
Stansted 0-1 MSP

From the two people I have talked to we could have had five or six, still three pionts is three points!!!

Still another two hard games to go though!

We were defending very well and holding our own , We got a penalty wen Hughesy was pushed , Butler smacked it home , They got a freekick right on half time and the number 6 headed it in . Second half we scored two Sherwin put us ahead just after half time with a shot across their keeper . about 4 minutes later sherwins cross is laid on a plate for Hughesy who rattled it in . Could have had another two as well Barkingside were strangley inefficient in the second half .

A big big win today , well done to our boys on a great game . I thought our luck would change when Russ won the half time 50 - 50 draw ,A good omen perhaps . Nice people at barkingside very gracious in defeat . Nice to meet you too katyanne.

Agree with the last bit there but then you hit them with two goals in pretty quick time just after half time and they never looked really like getting back in.

First half was very close and a soft pen for Side to give away and then poor marking from you lot for their goal

I did enjoy the shout from one of your fans of "shut up you romford scum" when one of the romford lot over there shouted something at one of your players

biglaugh

No harm in a bit of banter MCP , But seriously everything Barkingside try revolved around the big no 5 . Mark him out of the game and you stop 80% of their rhythm .

Berbanob shut up before i reveal your true identity!!! tongue

I came to watch the game with Jonesy and loved the banter between the Romford and Enfield fans. Should add a little spice to tuesdays proceedings!!

I thought Barkingside were poor today and didn't take the opportunity in the 1st half to kill the game off.

Anyway Enfield good luck with your results after tuesday, im sure we WILL beat you again.

Hi Sherwin, Jimmy, Remi, Hughesy, Gollum, Jonesy, Samo, Steve O and the rest of you Big Time Charlies!!

LOL

Barkingside's chain of events

Essex Senior League. Saturday 12th April
Barkingside 1 Enfield 1893 1 blush
Adam Dennehey Reporting

In arguably one of the biggest games in the clubs history, Barkingside slumped to a disappointing defeat against promotion rivals Enfield, which now leaves them on the backfoot for promotion.

With only one team going up from the Essex Senior League, it was imperative today that Side could at the very least pick up a point and keep themselves ahead of Enfield with a game in hand. Football on the other hand is never simple and with both teams being so close it was always going to be an awkward game for either side.

To begin with the game was abit of a cagey affair with both sides wanting to keep it simple in midfield. Saying that though there were some challenges going on and over the course of the game there were to be several bookings, some rash and some unlucky.

Side created the first chance of the game with Dominic Harkins having a shot deflected wide in the box, following good play from Brian Suchley and Paul Carr. Minutes later Carr volleyed straight at Enfield
