Put that question on our forum and you'll probably get an answer within a few minutes. And probably the answers to any question involving an Enfield fc game right back until about the late 1950's.

As your chairman refused any discussion at all between the two sides on this subject. How do any of us know what us or youselves would have accepted as a consolidated compromise/solution??

You may have been pleasently suprised at how much we would have moved. Now you'll never know and the two factions will never talk again. Let alone merge.

*Although I'm not sure the new club could have guaranteed a regular starting place for a certain player,so it was always likely to be a non starter.*

That's simply a point of constitutional differences. The ETFC door is always open, you know. In the long run, can you afford not to think long and hard about the opportunities that are repeatedly offered?

But if we joined you we would have to betray our old club which we have poured our heats and souls into and the true Enfield FC logo would be lost and that is something I wouldn

What are you going on about Our chairman and the rest of our board met your board more than three years ago (Ryman 2 days I think ). Do you fans owned club members know what actually happens within your club . It would seem no !

Is that what he told you? I think he may have briefly entered the same room as some of our board members to firmly say 'Not interested in any future talks'.

He's certainly rejected any olive branch before or since.

Only just seen this thread. Going back to the original question as I recall Royal Crossing were a semi-pro side from Belgium. I saw all the matches that season and every season throughout the 1970's so if you seriously want any details of line-ups or scorers let me know. I now live in Somerset so haven't seen either of the "new" Enfield clubs.
