Ooh...Enfield left it late but have them late goals done enough to secure the title!

How many fans are Enfield taking to Barkingside Saturday?

Doubt there is a better keeper in that league, (well except Chopper of course!) the man is a proper legend.

Great result boys, straight shoot out between you & Concord now, unless Barkingside win 5-0.

Who would have thought on Monday you would be hopeing for a Barkingside win or draw on Saturday?

Great league title chase run in.

Here's to a score draw on Saturday!

Thanks Gazza. So many twists and turns, and I expect the game Saturday to be more of the same.

cheers gazza

it was a really entertaining match, we battered them early on, got the early goal and it looked like the concord goal diff would be nder threat, but their keeper pulled off at least 4 amazing saves, usually from neil hughes, who also had a teriffic match. bowers stuck at it, and made a real fist of it. well organised and difficult to break down.

The keeper got a standing ovation when he came off - and good luck to him hope the injury wasnt too bad.

The Ref also got an ovation at the end. excellent display, penalty was "spot on". but all the way thru he was 1st class, didnt have to book a single player and all had total respect for all decisions, because he was right. compare that display to the keystone cops that were in charge against romford.

fingers crossed for saturday now

come on barkingside !!!!!!!!!! - if they get 5 - good luck to them.

Enfield 3-1 Bowers & Pitsea

E's were on the offensive from the word go as Neil Hughes fires wide in the 1st minute. In the 3rd minute E's are ahead with Sherwin Stanley finding some space on the edge of the box cutting in and rolling his shot past Paul Dennis 1-0 E's . Bowers centre half Darren Ellis pulls up just after 6 mins and is replaced by Jamie Cross . Adilson Lopes feeds Lee Benmore but his shot is blocked 11 mins . Bowers were back in the match on 13 mins with a throw in from Ben Connelly and Graeme Butler misjudged the bounce and the ball struck his hand .A Penalty was duly awarded , Chris Lewis calmly stroked it home 1-1 . Adilson Lopes puts in a long throw at the other end on 20 mins and a shout for handball just got a shake of the Referee's head. A freekick from Graeme Butler and Wesley Borghys heads wide 22 mins. A deep swirling cross from Adilson Lopes was well taken by Paul Dennis on 24 mins whilst under duress. A freekick from Bowers Jordan Tolan but E's wall did its job 25 mins. A stunning double save from Paul Dennis as Sherwin Stanley slips Neil Hughes through and the Bowers custodian saves brilliantly down to his right and Sean Clarke's return moments later was met by Neil Hughes overhead kick but Dennis somehow managed to keep it out 28 mins. A good turn and shot by Neil Hughes but again Paul Dennis saves well 30 mins. Sean Clarke's cross finds Neil Hughes but he puts it over the top 32 mins. Neil Hughes flashes a shot across goal with nobody there to meet it 35 mins. Sean Clarke puts one just wide 38 mins. A shot by Bowers Ben Connelly across Steve Wright goes wide 39 mins. A good try by Deniz Mehmet was blocked on 42 mins H/T

2nd half ...(E's sub Ricardo Armado replaces Deniz Mehmet ) Sherwin Stanley shoots across the face of goal on 46 mins . And on 48 mins Sherwin fires one straight at Paul Dennis . Lee Benmore puts over a good cross and Chris Green's shot is blocked by a mass of Bowers bodies 50 mins. A shot by Bowers Jamie Clark was well held by Steve Wright 51 mins. Sean Clarke puts a good chance wide for E's on 53 mins. With E's failing to unlock the Bowers rearguard Graeme Butler was sacrificed for Chris Thomas 54 mins. Adilson Lopes cross field ball finds Ricardo Armado but he lifts his shot over the bar 56 mins. Neil Hughes appeared to have his heels clipped in the box but the Referee again shakes his head . A shot by Scott Pethers goes over Steve Wrights bar on 65 mins . Chris Thomas is put through but Paul Dennis bravely saves at his feet but injure's his hand whilst doing so 66 mins . After a 5 minute delay he decides to soldier on . Adilson Lopes fires over the bar 71 mins . (Bowers sub Scott Pethers off for Michael Dekzjar 72 mins) Lee Benmore's freekick finds sherwin Stanley but his header is saved 78 mins . Neil Hughes appeared to be tugged back but the Referee again waves play on ? Sean Clarke's cross finds Lee Benmore but he cant keep it down and it goes over 82 mins . Then at last Ricardo Armado puts over a peach of a cross and Adilson Lopes with a full length diving header steers it past Paul Dennis 2-1 E's 83 mins. Paul Dennis is now unable to continue and is replaced in goal by Carl Reed and John Doyle comes on to relace Carl Reed in the Bowers defence 85 mins. Lee Benmore shoots wide 87 mins . As we enter seven mins of added time Adilson Lopes puts in a good cross and Sean Clarke sweeps the ball past Carl Reed 3-1 E's 91 mins . Wes Borghys runs through the entire Bowers defence only to shoot into the side netting 95 mins (E's sub Remi Nelson on for Adilson Lopes 96 mins) Lee Benmore's freekick finds Sherwin Stanley but Carl Reed easily saves F/T

Don't always take satisfaction at being proved right.

Feel for you fans. Its a heartbreaker to lose the league on the last game of the season (Remember Yeovil, when the Hayes score was announced over the tannoy?).Must be gutting to actually be there when fans and players of another club lift the trophy.

Good day for Canvey teams against Enfield teams.Revenge will be ours in the future though.
