Cheers Super Daz!!

I swapped Canvey with Farnborough like I usually do and, I'm now about to start my first campaign in charge of the Gulls!!!

CANV, you will get addicted!!!

Believe me, it's more addictive than all the Command & Conquer, Sims, Sim Cities, put together!!!

People have been fired from their jobs cause of this game, and CM4 is the most in depth version of them all.

I'm now playing as Canvey Island in the Conference, all the players are on there apart from: Craig Davidson, (haven't got a clue why. He's not in any version), Michael Lee, (obviously as he's only put in a handful or appearances he won't be included) and Mark Graham, (he is in the game but still at 'Ricay). They've even given us some extra players too. I still have Mick Bodley and Rudi in my squad, along with Danny O'Shea as a Coach.

The physio and scout is just made up by the computer when you start.

The tactics, transfers, training, media, etc is very in depth, you won't be disappointed if you do purchase it - just don't throw your computer out the window if you lose a game. It can get frustrated, but in my other game, I'm Leyton Orient, 7th in the Conference, only lost 4 games all season, (Gravesend x 2, Stevenage who are top whipped me 5-0 and I lost to Birmingham in the FA Cup).

I could go on for ages, but I won't bore you too much. I'm sure others reading this will agree CM4 is a game to have in your collection.

Unfortunately my computer is too slow at the moment to run CM4 (only a Pentium 2 366) so I'm still playing CM 01/02. Just started a new game with Canvey in the Conference but Jeff Minton is p..d off with me because I refused a bid from Millwall. I don't want to sell him as he has been awesome in the pre season friendlies. I'm hoping to keep him for a bit, then get about £300,000 for him and sign another attacking midfielder. How do you replace Mints though?

Well Dave, I did cheat a bit and up Canvey's reputation on that game by 2.

So I did manage to woo a player called Orlando Trustfull into my squad, quality player that actually kept Minton out of my side. Boylan was kept out of the side by Daniel Amakochi(?) the ex-Everton forward, plus about 4 other blokes that my squad was built around. They took me to Div 3. in two seasons...and left cause I couldn't afford their pay rises due to the promotion.

Was it 1 to start with because I put it up to three and gave us 350,000 in cash (realistic from the cup runs). On Champ Manager if you win the Conference do they let you in the league even if your ground is not up to league standards? (only 4,000 capacity)

Dave the repuatation my game was on 2, I put it onto 4.

If you win the Conference and your ground isn't up to scratch on the last day of the season or thereabouts the Board will announce they are going to expand the stadium to meet requirements. I haven't been denied access before.

Excellent! To be honest I've been a bit biased with the player stats. I've given Boylan 17 for finishing, Duffers and Parms 13 for dribbling, Greggors 17 for heading and strength and Prothers 18 for set pieces.

I downloaded a saved game editor in which you can modify the contents of a saved game. I may go back and reduce some of the stats.

I left the players as they were, the only squad change I made apart from updating it was putting myself in there!!!

I couldn't believe it though - 18 and keeping Matt Jones, Spencer Knight, Scott Forbes and Steve Parmenter out of the first team. Wanted by Chelsea, Charlton, West Ham, Spurs and Watford and receiving offers of £120,000!!!

I've tried to sign a couple of top rate players for Canvey but failed. I was negoatiating with Gavin Peacock but he turned me down to join York City instead whilst Ruel Fox was interested in joining me but his wage demands were too high.

I was denied by David Beckham once, he was a free agent at 34 and the only reason he didn't come was cause he was too reluctant to leave Millwall!!!

Shots1, what you would have to do is open the editor and select to swap 1 team. Type in 'Aldershot Town' in one box and a Conference team you want to relegate in the other, e.g. 'Farborough Town'.

Click 'next' then 'exit'. Start CM4 and start a 'New Game'. When you select the team you wish to manage. go to the entire team list and 'Aldershot Town' should be on there. Click 'Take Control' and then the rest is as per usual.

This new server is fantastic, everything loads so much quicker.

Just been playing Champ and the unfortunate Scott Forbes is out for two months after doing his ligaments crossing a ball. He came on as a late substitute in a friendly against Hull and lasted no more than a minute. Who says this game is not realistic!

Better still try to get rid of Stevenage.

Then CM will tell you that there has been a change in the rules which means that no one will go down from the conference and then it will begin to clear your whole hard disk while humming "There's only one Graham Westley"

The funniest thing on that game I've seen is Ben Chenery put Wayne Vaughan on a stretcher - out for 10 months with a ruptured cruciate ligament!!

Yay!!! 700+ posts!!!
