Charlton newspaper coverage

I dont object to local press and radio giving coverage to Charlton - after all, as has been said, they are the nearest Premiership team, and many of thei supporters will come from this area.

What I do object to, however, is the extent of the coverage.

It is often excessive given that Charlton is not truely in Kent, even if they are affiliated to the Kent FA. And even if they are affiliated to the Kent FA, they cant then be bothered to enter a team into the County Cup competition (I know Gills now dont do so either and neither do Millwall, but that's not a valid excuse)

I wonder if any of these papers or Radio stations have ever carried out a survey to confirm the degree that the Charlton coverage is approved or otherwise. It would certainly be interesting to see the results.

I am more angry with Meridian, who say they do not report much on GNFC as they should get coverage from BBC Southeast as one of the studios covers London.????

However when we get a team in FA cups etc, they then want to cover the match and they did show us staying in the Conference with Liam's goal.

No problem with them mentioning Charlton, but they should also cover all other Conference matches at least. but often Meridian give Dover much more air time than either Margate or us, I have spoken to them on loads of occasions, but I fear they are brain dead and do just not understand.

With the boundaries . Bromley is in Kent Under 7oaks District, The others like Bexley etc all went some time ago to London Borough's although they still have a Kent postal address (clear Government policy)

Medway although a Unitary are also in Kent, although some Medway councillors wanted Kent dropped from the postal address.

I think the best thing would be for GNFC to have its own station like Man Utd.

Suggestions as to who could present the programme??
