Famous people I've seen in Safeway

Recommended Posts

Here are a few of the famous people I've now seen in Safeway....

Libby Kennedy as previously reported a couple of days ago

<img src="http://www.spurs.co.uk/images/players/1879.jpg" alt=" - " />

Spurs hero Steve Carr about two years ago

<img src="http://www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders/characters/images/dot_c1.gif" alt=" - " />

Dot Cotton (although that was about 15 years ago when it was the Co-op - and also it wasn't me who saw her, it was my mum, but she got me an autograph)

Has anyone else spotted celebrities in local supermarkets?? Pictures as always please.

Again, not at Safeway (or indeed any supermarket), but a few years ago I was at the driving range by the A1 at the Arkley/Borehamwood turn-off when Mike Reed turned up. Not only was he wearing his Frank Butcher costume, he also appeared to be driving one of Frank Butcher's dodgier cars from the set.

(And by the way I'm not your former chairman.)

Jon "Gaffer" Sherwood saw Richard Wright in Savacentre this week.

I saw Matthew Wright (ex-newspaper hack and now crap tv presenter) on the 0619 from St.Albans to Three Bridges a few weeks back.

I also saw Tim Lovejoy at a party last year, he asked me why I was wearing leopard skin at a halloween party.

And of course I see myself in the mirroe everyday, and thats the biggest star.

Not to mention countless meetings with Jimbob, Fruitbat, Clint Boon, Tom Hingley, Chas and indeed Dave!

Famous people I have seen (none of them in Safeway, sadly):

1. Gita out of Eastenders at West Hampstead station.

2. Iain Dowie at Jewsons in St Albans (and goodness me wasn't he keen for me to acknowledge who he was!).

3. Paul out of S Club 7 in The Horn & The Peacock (wearing shades in a rather pathetic attempt to keep the masses guessing).

4. Sir Les Battersby - DJing at a nightclub in Leeds, oddly enough.

5. The drummer out of Iron Maiden - at a music exhibition in London (and a very nice chap he was as well).

  • 6 months later...

David Icke (Wearing a turquoise shell suit - which was strange cos I thought he only wore purple) - Isle of Wight

Craig Charles - Harpenden pubs

Jarvis Cocker - A london cinema

Rod Jane & Freddy - Great Ormond Street hospital (I missed Michael Jackson by 2 days - Lucky escape!). They rather patronisingly told me I was very good at snooker for a boy in a wheelchair! and Jane had shockingly grey hair.

Saw some bloke in Oxford St today, he's either a TV presenter or in a boy band. It's actually bugging me a bit now!

How about famous people you've met and actually spoke to!

Vinny Jones, Dannii Minouge, Eric Hall, Goldie (tit), Jim Morrison, Les Carter, Tom Hingley, Clint Boon, Chas Hodges, Dave Peacock .... and more i'm sure
