humiliation!!!...AGAIN.

The Hitchin fans were actualy laughing at our attempts to play football in the second-half....especially when terry Back came on...he is cheapening the 'once great' name of Enfield fc by playing himself......As a lot of the youth team will be playing next season, why didn't he put one of them on the bench for the last few games to give them a taste of the action.

10 against Canvey
8 against Bedford
7 against wealdstone
5 against numerous sides
101 goals conceded in 42 games.

The last programme of the season(or 'the final fantasy')as i call it,was priceless.

The Enfield information ministers 'Comical Derek' and 'comical Terry' were on top form.......Even alan Farmer Joined in with a 'Fantasy' page of his own.

A typical quote ''We are looking for a ground, but as you know FINDING SPACE IN LONDON IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE....I wonder if Laz knew that when he sold Southbury road.(oh-that's right, he didn't care).

quote 2..expect some exiting news,in the next few days...(mmmmmm).

The truthis the only thing Terry, derek and Co....are good at is Bulls**ting.

DODDY.......Wealdstone was in the cup..I KNOW....why presume i was talking exclusively about the league.

i read a friends programme at the game today,so AS i don't have it to hand,my quotes were not word perfect.....but you KNOW the phrases i was refuring to.

Do we not have the right to criticize a manager that has failed to stop us being relegated, and whose team has conceded 15 goals in two matches.???

DODDY..(ROB) someone who writes like you.should not be talking about braincells.....also ,a bit late in the season to make a first post, don't you think.

p.s....you say ''if only you new''.....that's the trouble..WE DON'T KNOW..we,the fans, are always the last to know anything....the club treat us with contempt.

Must be the first E's game I've ever been to where I've missed a goal and a sending off, and not payed any attention to the second half, but at least we tried to play football, if we had earlier in the season who knows... The real problem this season has been the changeover of players, you can't do anything if you keep changing your line-up-especially in defence where since Doherty and Braithwaite have left, we've shipped goals. Agreed about Terry, he's a nice guy but playing yourself ahead of younger players takes the p**s, not just of the squad but of the fans who've paid their money to get in.

I hope I'm wrong, but the lack of info is worrying, my 'sources' tell me the club is about £250,000 in debt, Tony doesn't want to put as much in as in previous seasons(not surprising), players not been paid for the last 2 and a half months...It's hard to be positive for the clubs future, knowing that we'll be getting average gates of 50-70 next season. As for Terry,Derek bullsh*ting, they can only tell us what Tony wants us to know, that's why were not told anything...

Don't believe that finding space in London for a ground is 'impossible', if that's the case a more 'commited' chairman would have made more effort to get us sharing at Cheshunt or Haringey, even Brimsdown could have happened if Tone had wanted it too...

A shame that some more supporters have made the decision not to come next season, surely club officials must have seen gates have dropped towards the end of this season, people need to be treated like loyal customers, otherwise more will vote with their feet...

Of course we have the right to criticise if it's not right, and the problems here at EFC start at the top...

MK James and lovely stuff are absolutely right - but yet again the response is one of contempt. This will have to be my last post under this 'banner' as the rubbish served up on the pitch today was the final humiliation for me. Mr Back has got to be the most out of shape 'player' EVER to have worn an Enfield shirt - putting himself on in that manner AGAIN (his 5th appearance of the season!) shows just how seriously he's taking his role. Yet still there's talk of him rebuilding for next season etc etc - what a joke!
(only its not funny)

For those still interested - and I know there are many who won't have yesterday's programme due to their understandable wish not to give any funds to Lazarou - the exact quotes to which lovely stuff was referring were:-

'The Chairman has always wanted to find a new ground for the club. Almost impossible in the London area as you all know. But he has kept at it and is currently in discussions that could provide our own ground in the near future' - Terry Back.

'therre (sic) could even be an announcement on the groud situation within the next few days' - Derek Bird

.... so we'll watch this space for news, but with the experience of the past years since the ground at Southbury Road was sold, though obviously not with baited breath!

For the record, it was 101 goals conceded in 46 league games (rather than 42) with the 'lots' of goals scored in the league standing at the abysmally low 47. The aggregate tally from the 2 league games against Hitchin, a mid table side, was 12-1! Additionally, in the cups:- Goals Scored 7 Goals Against 22 in 6 matches

Terry Back should go and go now - though it won't be of much consequence to me (except from afar) as my football will be watched mainly at the Town next season.
