What is going on at Town.

God knows how many players SM has signed this season, but it MUST be in the 50 - 55 range.

We have lost a "couple" of new players in Stevenson and Ellis and of course Dave Allen.

 

Against Potters Bar we have a "youth forward" on the bench - we need a striker, but the Manager states that "the game was not right to bring him on"

 

THEN WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING ON THE BENCH ?????

 

We go down 2 - 1 to 10 men.

 

EVEN WITH 55 PLAYERS THERE IS NO DEPTH OR CLASS TO THIS SQUAD OF PLAYERS ASSEMBLED BY SM.

 

Yesterday v Thamesmead we go 2 down in 8 minutes due to some very poor defending and "struggle" to beat 10 men after the keeper is sent off in the first half.

 

On this HOW can our web site state that the keeper made an "Horrendous stud-up lunge" - he touched Hammond, YES but Horrendous - you have to be kidding !!

 

So sub keeper ( their 4 ) and we fail to have more than 5 shots on target.

JUST WHAT DID SM SAY TO THE PLAYERS AT HALF TIME ????

 

There was no intelligence in our play - just "lump it" towards their 2 tall central defenders with Hammond ( not the best header of the ball ), out done time after time after time.

All very poor in my view.

 

The 1 point from the last two games against low teams ( when we played them anyway ) just endorses my view that SM has not got a clue.

 

More signings this week ?????? Who knows.

Panic Management.

 

Time to change NOW so that someone new has a chance to build and prepare for 2009 - 2010 season.

 

With 17 league games gone, on 19 points and 26 points behind the leaders, this season is DEAD - Assuming no relegation as we are only 7 points away from trouble !!

I heard 90 minutes of encouragement, praise, coaching, positive feedback, etc, etc yesterday and it worked. It's a shame that it all came from the Thamesmead bench.

 

I think everyone who was in the ground just prior to the first goal may have wondered why we were not down to 10 men after 3 minutes? Had the referee consulted his linesman, similar to our penalty, then we could have been.

 

All in all, not good enough. Yes, we came back from 2-0 down but we played against 10 men for 70 minutes.

 

I heard yesterday that the manager has a three year plan for the Town. Three years! Supporters won't take much more of this and we will be lucky to hit the 200 attendance mark at this rate. Something has to happen to get 'our' club moving. One or two good results will help, but a sustained run has to start, especially at Ilford.

IDIOT. You assume nothing.
We have "lost" players from the squad due to Injury and Suspension, NOT because they have left the Club.

Stick to supporting your Ware based team.

Give me strength! 3 years - I'd rather go to Ware (and watch Ware not the Billy nomads!)!

Three year plan?

 

Anybody see my local team Histon on the box today?

 

Now there is a success story, 17 years ago there was a shed in a field, 7 years ago they were level 5, they have a team of volunteers that prepare throughout the week & work on matchdays, they have a family base at the heart of the board, any of this sound familiar?

 

With the right consortium in place, sensible management & good coaching its simple really isnt it?!

whats the matter old towner cant you take it personally i have nothing against you or enfield town but when you come crying and come on to our site like you used to you cant seem to accept it when we come on to yours get a life and get over it

I think you will find that the last year of me on Club 18-93 site has been asking / hoping that our 2 Clubs would become One.

 

I recently ( Town site ) stated what "vision" Club 18-93 had in appointing Graeme Butler as coach.

 

Did not realise I was crying - this thread on Town site is actually a Call for Help and change of Management for Town - nothing to do with Club 18-93.

Come on then Town supporters - let's spend the week leading up to the bottom 6 match with Ilford ( 18th v 16th )debating our position.

 

Are we going to see any new Players this week ?

 

Rudi is suspended so will Jonesey come straight back in ?

 

From our 7 away games we have managed 3 wins and 9 points, will this be improved ?

 

By the way our home record in the League is now Played 10 ( 30 points available ) managed 10 points with 2 wins and 4 draws.

Crowds down 20% since September ( 250 to 200 )

Average 1 points per game and poor performances.

 

Away form which has always been exceptional, now 9 points from 21 available.

 

I note that "other football Clubs" are changing their Manager and claiming that as the Season is not progressing as the Club had hoped - It is time for a change in direction and hope for better fortune.

 

In my opinion IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE NOW.

We are going nowhere.

 

If we cannot get or afford ( more likely ) anyone NEW, then give Mike Smee the rest of this season to prove himself.

ANOTHER DEFEAT. ( 1 - 4 v Billericay )

Another "non event" from our Management Team.

Another game when our Youth Forward stays warming up the bench when we need a striker on the pitch.

 

Does SM know what he is doing ?

 

Will it all be sorted with 3 points at Ilford ?

 

Something needs to Change - NOW.

 

Town support tonight - my guess - less than 20.

 

What's going on ??????????
