Before I go any further, this comment is NOT an attemp to justify the increase, it is meant to make you think!

Ideally, we would all love the prices to go down as we are now playing in a 'lesser' division but, this is the real world!

The costs of running the club have not gone down they have spiralled over the last few years (unlike the admission). Can anyone remember the last increase?

There is still travelling (petrol costs have increased), catering (food and drink costs have increased), refs etc (they are not reduced), lights, ground rent, players 'wages' (they are increasing all the time especially if you want quality), entry to the various competitions (not reduced), fines! (not reduced). Do you want me to continue?

Yes, I know an extra £1 may seem steep but, when all things are considered it isn't really. (Due to the wonderful tax man, I actually had a paycut this year. sob!). Terry has already shown his intent with the 2 signings announced so far and there are more on the way.

If you want to keep the increase to a minimum, purchase a season ticket - it can be paid by instalments. Just contact me for details.

Some fair points derek......apart from the ADMISSION PRICE/WAGE BILL part.
'
You are saying prices are going up,partly, because the 'wage bill' is increasing.......if so, we should have seen a decrease in prices last season when the wage bill was dramaticaly reduced.

Think on..........If spurs got relegated, then decided to increase admission, for the following season in Division1...how do you think the fans would react.

That's precisely what Spurs did do in 1977/78!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Seriously though, I know that you would like to exclude players 'wages' but unfortunately you can't. Yes you could argue that the wage bill should/would go down but this is more than offset by all the other increases (and more) that I listed above.

Believe me, from what I've seen (first hand) and heard over the last few sesons apart from the very rare cases, there is NO player loyalty. They don't play for a club anymore, they play for themselves and, if they could get another £10 a week they're off!

I'd rather be paid £10 a game than nothing. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yes, exactly that is the moral Gonzo.
Wow did you sniff the right drug this time?
EFC are going through hardship now but later we will appreciate the finer things in life.
Gonzo, you took the words right out of my mouth.

But it's alright, I'll just spend less at the bar, that all goes to BWFC anyway.

Go in the Hart & Spool. It's a lot cheaper than the BWFC club bar so you can still pay the same overall but redistribute your wealth in a different way!

I've tried but I only just found out ( as I was writing this post) that it doesn't actually correct your post it just shows you the corrections.
I only have a few spelling mistakes as when it was uploaded to the net it did not quite upload completly.
