an idea....that maybe people here could help me with.

Thought I'd start a City Legends page. Obviously the likes of Clark, Minter etc. would be on there but need suggestions including details of apps , goals, time with club ect.

anyone??

oh and if anyone has pictures from old programmes that would be great!

John Pollard will never be a ledgend (he was a nice bloke but so is Richard Evans....).

I can't beleave that the likes of Cockram (I mean Lenny was good, but Cockram was great), Duffs and Erskine haven't been mentioned.

Yeah, I'll go along with all of those.

One or two outsiders:

Dean Williams - great partnership with Clarky
Justin Gentle
Matt Jones
Jon Daly
Greg Howell
Steve Cox
Gareth Howells
Shaun Brett

All fairly recent, a few older ones now:

Ian Whitehead - 361 apps
Billy Broomfield - 76 goals in 176 apps
Nick O'Donoghue - 74 goals in 160 apps

[info from Steve Clark testimonial program]

Programme? I must have missed something

What abount Shaun Close (portly chap who used to play for Barnet - not all that good but provided amusement)

Also remember a City player who was a Brentford legend (not Cockram) - but there was a local Brentford fan who came to watch Detsi Kruzinsky (I apologise for the spelling )

Ah I see - the great cigared one has been in the papers as well over his dislike of De Gaulle

Shaun Close may have run a kebab shop in Hemel

Shaun Close now runs The George PH in Hoddesdon and organizes the S.O.B.S Golf Society.

Played for (there may be more): Spurs, Swindon, Bournemouth, Barnet, Bishops Stortford.

Here he is in Barnet colours:

I thought Wayne Andrews was good but he didn't stay long enough to become a ledgend! I will ask my dad. I cant ask my Grandad cos he passed away last week. He could remember the saints team from the 1920's! But he could never remember wot he did the day before!
