NLP - A season summed up !

Recommended Posts

Just read the NLP over a lovely couple of pints of Scrumpy Jack and plate full of cockles and whelks. The front cover promised a 12 page coverage of last season..

I was most looking forward to reading about the Fleets exploits in their first season back in the conference for 20 odd years.

A season in which they drew with the likes of champions and play off contendees Yeovil and Chester , in which they beat 2nd place Morecombe , and other highlights along the way such as the thrashing of Barnet at Underhill.

It was spread over 12 pages , so lots to look forward too.

However, our only mention was that Adam ( Lisa ) Stansfield broke his leg against us, and that Yeovil had to look for other strikers.

Was that it, was that our first season back in conference, was that all we achieved !!!

Lets show these so called big boys , that this is our level, the coverage we get in the NLP is disgraceful.

But the good news is , that we also didn't get a mention in the infamous George Borg , Mark Bentley and ' Mr Buckley ' story...

Can't imagine us paying £15K to an agent tho' !!

PS .

I think that you will find that a decent pint of Guinness washes down cockles and whelks better !

Intersesting point as well was that Che came top in 'most shots on target, most assists' and (ithink) most crosses...this is from memory........and highest goalscorer. OK he said in KM Messenger, as Andy has said, that he went stale, but isnt it up to the manager to motivate him??

I only hope we are not going to miss him.especially if Jacko does go..........
