Cant see that you can survive without a reserve team - there is a need to get players fit again after injury and a need to keep other fringe players interested.

Losing this again would really lead to problems in the long run.

AFAIK there are no plans to scrap the reserves

I see in the NLP today that Scarborough have scrapped their reserve team who were playing in the Avon Insurance League, in favour of playing ad hoc matches as and when necessary to get players match fit again - a dangerous route, I think, as our experiences showed a couple of seasons ago, when very few "reserve" matches were actually played.
