Heh heh. You're actually starting to brighten my existence, shrews.

We secured the signature of Dangermouse's sidekick Penfold up front last night (height, holds the ball up well) and are currently in negotiations for 70s ITV robot Metal Mickey so the future looks bright.

Let any more players go in the valleys...? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Stu:

I'm told we have signed Dolly the Sheep in the face of "stiff" opposition from Chester, Shrewsbury and Hereford.

We only release details of signings once the ink is dry on the contract.

Which one, Joey or Dolly?

Those Dollys are ten a penny anyway. No individual flair, that's their problem.

Ive always thought Squiddly Diddley was underated as a keeper. Although it does take him a while to put the gloves on!!!

perhaps we should sign Shrews, if Joey Deacon, Dolly the dead sheep or maybe Christopher Reeves aren't available

Dagenham have 'bagsied' Shrews apparently.

It was Graham Westley's idea at the last Conference meeting - he was allowed to 'bagsy' as many players as he needed for Stevenage to stay up.

Now Garry Hill's got in on the idea and 'bagsied' about three-quarters of the Middlesex Wanderes squad. Fordy only stopped him getting Macca and Wilko by cleverly responding with the famous 'Bagsy Macca and Wilko, vaneites, no returns' counter-move. Said so in The Windmill, anyway.
