Bromley Road, Colchester.

However Bromley Road is a really long road and I have two post codes for the ground!! The ECFA 2008/09 handbook gives it as CO4 3LE but the Cherry Red Non-league Newsdesk Annual 2008 gives it as CO4 3JF. Looking at the map there is a sports ground shown just off the roundabout on the A137 Harwich Road!! Hope we get more directions later!

If you go on Google Maps (Satellite option) and enter 51.896749,0.939445 in the SEARCH window and "zoom in" on the clubhouse next to the pitch (just to the right of the roundabout and on the north side of Bromley Road), you will see the words "THE GAS" on the roof. I'm guessing this is their clubhouse.

Joe, that's brilliant! I've not used that website before. Why have The Gas painted their sign upside down?

he is a good player, does a lot of the 'ugly' work in midfield that can go unnoticed

shame about Saturday after the recent good run....

good start to the season for your lot but Gas will be a very hard game

Yeah, he's got a cracking shot on him too. I saw him fire one in from about 20 yards into the Concord net a couple of seasons or so ago to win the game at Gardiners Close.

We've got nothing to lose against the Gas but if we are full strength, we'll give them something to think about. The E&S Border league is mainly made up of village teams with Gas situated in the middle of Colchester. Perhaps that's why they have been dominant for all these years!

Good Luck to Boycie and his side at home to Dedham Old Boys in the Prem Cup.

Gas Rec didn't even compete last season, they withdrew in the first round without kicking a ball in anger!!!

I know mate, we've been monitoring them since the draw was made. They've won their league 3 of the last 4 seasons. It will be a tough test for sure.
