Another Revolutionary Idea....

Recommended Posts

As Twenty20 Cup cricket has been introduced, I feel it is time for football to follow suit and create a shorter, more exciting version of the game. Here's how it could go:

Instead of 45 minutes each way, each team would have 10 minutes to score as many goals as they can. However, this would not be done in the normal way, but in a "Wembley" fashion, where it's everyone against the keeper. In this case, the keepr would have his back four to protect him. Each 10 minutes takes place in one half of the pitch, and the defenders job is to hoof the ball out of play while the clock is still ticking. Once one team has completed their 10 minutes, the teams switch and the 2nd team attempt to beat the first teams score.

It makes the other idea about football in the dark seem ridiculous!
