Go for a mixture of Browns with tiny dots of yellow here and there to give the effect of a sweetcorn enriched turd......

6 points off yourselves this term please, not just the 'usual' 4.

Will that be as good as Chelsea's old Tangerine & Graphitti away kit?

Orange & Blue are two contrasting colours, so they'll make each other stand out. But this kit could go [****!!****] upwards and either end up like Southend Utd's old Orange away kit or the England Euro 96 2nd Goalkeeper strip!!!

Home kit could be interesting though. I'm getting a sort of Torquay/Mansfield image in my head...

Hey Matt, I saw you in Southend today waiting for a bus about 3.45. You probably thought I was ignoring you because I walked right past you. It was only after I passed you, I realised it was you. Did notice you were wearing your Canvey hat. Nice one!, we have to spread the word around Southend that Canvey FC are around!

To be honest Dave, I didn't actually notice you till it was too late either! I was looking in your general direction but I was probably too busy waiting for my bus to come around the corner!!

Not only was I wearing my Canvey hat, but I was also wearing the FA Trophy Season shirt under my jacket too. I'd just come back from a University trip in Greenwich actually. So My cap & shirt have done a bit of sight-seeing around London today.

I have my scarf and old wooly hat still stuffed in the bottom of my bag from last Winter!

All I need now is a pair of yellow gloves and I will have it all!!!

As for our kits, I was just wondering if our home kit is Yellow, would we be allowed to have an Orange away kit? If you remember when we had to play Bilston, (who played in Tangerine) we had to wear our Navy/Red away 'Rugby' shirt rather than our Yellow home kit. Could this be that if we played someone like St. Albans, Braintree or Basingstoke our Orange would clash with their yellow?

I thought a re-design of last seasons, Blue/Navy away kit would've been suitable or better still don't change the kit at all!!

I remember West Brom played in a yellow/light blue away kit a few seasons ago. Maybe it will be similar to the Sweden shirt or the Brazil shirts of the early 80s (1982 World Cup)

As for the Orange away shirt all great sides play in Orange. Stanley Matthews' Blackpool side of the 50s, The great Dutch sides of the 70s, Dundee United, Hull City, eh forget the last two!

If it looks like a Holland shirt then great (although you might need Edgar Davids glasses to stop it from blinding you)

Orange Army!!!!

Did anyone actually see the new strips last night?

Ian, did you take some photos?

I see Southend Utd's new kits actually have the Nike 'tick' on them! Nike should be ashamed to associate themselves with such a poor Club!!!

When will we be sponsored by Umbro, none of this Nike American rubbish then?

Took me about 45 minutes to get home today!! My Bus came around the corner just as soon as you left me.

I had bought a weekly bus-ticket and seeing as that I now have a 10 week Summer Holiday, I thought today being my last day I might as well make the most of it!
