Where do you guys reckon ur finish next season?? Are you hoping to be champions??!!!!

Have you reduced your prices for next season yet???!!!! I hear SUFC have sold a large number of season tickets for next season will this have an affect on your gates? Do you reckon your gates will manage to average 500 next season??

Our prices are the same as last season but as far as I know we're still doing our little deals like 'kid for a quid' (which SUFC have now enforced too) and it's still £1.50 a pint in the bar on Saturday's before the match.

I don't believe our gates will be too high to begin with. Neither us nor Southend have made some major signings that will catch the publics eye - in fact if anything, it would be us with the arrival of Ty Gooden. It certainly raised a few eyebrows at my College.

With Aldershot leaving the Ryman we're hoping Kettering could replace them attendance wise. The Shots were usually everyone's biggest gate of the season so all the averages will take a dip I suppose But we should be able to average 500. I think it all depends on how we start this season, if we start it like we did last season then everyone will be thinking it's deja vue and we won't do well, considering last season's overall performance was quite poor compared to previous ones. I suppose you could call us arrogant as we've been to the FA Cup 3rd Rnd. FA Trophy Final etc. and we've come to expect our Club to be there or there abouts every season now.

I don't honestly don't think we'll finish 1st. Although if we keep the shape of the team we had in the second 1/2 of the season we will be up with the others. But there is always one team that is the wild card and pips us to the post. Our problem is that although we can score something like 20 goals in 4 games, we also let in a lot of goals too.

Something Aldershot didn't do last season with all their 1-0 wins. 3 points, +1 on the goal difference, a clean sheet and promotion to the Conference!

That's how it's got to be done I'm afraid. Our 'sexy football' can be put on hold for a season or two while we grind out result after result to make our way up with The Shots, Gravesend, Farnborough, Dagenham etc.

I dont think we should forgo our sexy football just to obtain promotion,I support the Gulls and pay my £9 entrance money to be entertained by the attractive attacking football that we have become use to at Park Lane, this is what attracted me to support them in the first place.

I would hate to see us become a defensive team with the aim of grinding out 1-0 wins at all costs just to clinch promotion.I believe that with the return of a fully fit Gavin Cowans and Danny Potter as the no 1 choice as keeper the defence will not leak as many goals as last season. With a better start to the season than last year I think we can still win the league playing the Canvey way.

i personally think that we have a great chance because we havent messed around with the squad and we were the econd best team last season one thing tht would worry me is the attitude a couple of games last season i didnt really feel we wanted it enough to get promotion like maidenhead away and bedford at home two very poor results

I thought the Maidenhead game we should've easily wrapped it up in the second half. The ball rarely left Maidenhead's half and it was only their tactics that prevent us from winning. Berquez should've won it for us, and he's miss really summed up our whole season.

Also with the Bedford home draw, I thought that was a tough game. There were more games earlier in the season where our home performance was dreadful and we dropped points...

Sutton, Hayes, Kingstonian, Purfleet, Braintree & Hendon all home draws we should've won! Not to mention the Purfleet away, Chelmsford, Basingstoke away, 'Ricay away, Slough & Yeading games!!!

the last time we had a settled squad going into a season we won the trophy and were denied promotion by a fixture pile up and farnboros sensational away form.. a fairly similar squad then was again denied promotion by a G and N team that also had an excellent season, we also had a poor start again and lost bodders mid season... last season we had lost our two most influential players had a shocking start but somehow managed to a least give the shots a run or their money..remember they did the double over us, an efective 12 pointer, they beat us by 13...

we hopefully go into this season with a settled squad with a couple of additions, if we can for once get a decent start and if the players really want it, i see no reason why we cant be up there and have an excellent chance of winning the last ryman/isthmian title ..

as for paying 9 quid i think thats value for the style of football we see and the amount of goals!! at both ends!..

changing the style? not for me thankyou, as i heard on the terrace against hendon as we had just equalised again to make it 4-4..'i'd sooner we lost this going for a win than settle for a draw'.. if that dont get us up then so be it

yeah i totally agree with that but it does get a bit frustrating when teams like maidenhead and boring wood come and just tryed to defend for a point and sometimes it worked still the squad we have currently is the best in the ryman league apart from Kettering but they are losing a couple of their players so who knows!!

Kettering were a very poor side last season (despite getting 4 points from us) and thoroughly deserved relegation.

I wouldn't expect too much from them in the coming season.

Especially as teams relegated from the conference tend to be 'unable to bounce straight back up'.

Personally, I think it will be either St Albans or Canvey.....

Gloomy day? Are you already depressed about your own team's prospects then?

If not - then you should be!
