Quite a shame yesterday as Nalbandian's quite sexy, an Argy, but none-the-less sexy.

i cannot understand why soem people hate Henman so much. In his career he has reached number 6 in the world, a considerable achievement. He has reached the 1/4 finals of Wimbledon for seven out of the last eight years. The one time he let himself down and should have progressed was when Ivanisevic beat him. Other than that he has been beaten by players of a very high level including arguably the best grass court player who has ever lived (Sampras). Stop knocking him, he is representing our country whatever your political views are. To my mind he has never spouted politics unlike a former British Wimbledon crowd favourite, Buster Mottram. We used to cheer him on when he was a supporter of the National Front!!!

Come on Tim!!!!!

I don't give a tuppeny toss what his politics are, and care even less whether he's upper, middle or lower class. I just don't think he's got the bottle for the really big games but I would love to be proved wrong this time around.

I would argue that he is not representing his country either. He has not been selected to play for a national team as in the manner of the football, cricket, rugby, hockey or netball teams, or to perform as an individual as in the Davis Cup, for example. These are events for nations to compete with each other.

At Wimbledon, as in all tournaments, the players compete solely as individuals, representing only themselves. In doubles matches the players are likely to be of different nationalities.

Still, I don't suppose he likes me much either!

Tim is British and proud to be British. He enjoys playing Davis Cup tennis for his country. Just because the international set up of tennis is as it is we should not put a good sportsman down.

Still, I don't suppose he likes me much either!

Just let him know when you made the last 8 or last 4 in the world at any major sport and give him a chance to have a go at you

pabird what relevance is me being in the top 4 at a sport ???
Does that mean you have no right to critise the team you support because you have never played at that level ? , course you do the point is Tim just isn't good enough and to me sometimes lacks the fight to succed. Ok Bird Brain !

Being localish to the Wimbledon area, i hate Tennie, pain in the rear, and Henman is an annoying twerp, who bottles it, on the bug occasions.
