Fox Hunting

Recommended Posts

Not sure if I am for or against but I have a solution that may please both parties:

Instead of foxes use the following as bait: Murderers,Rapists,Druggies,Burglars,Perverts, Asylum Seekers and other forms of low life. Then add some Alsatians to the hound pack to spice it up a bit.

In my youth I confess I rode to hounds. Sorry everyone, I was only 13 or 14 at the time. I even have a strange bump on a certain area of my anatomy where I jumped a gate but my pony refused! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

It is an exhilarating experience, the thrill of the chase. The kill is sickening and barbaric. I grew up in the countryside. Foxes are cruel killers but that's nature. Anyone who says foxhunting with dogs is to reduce the fox population is talking a load of ******. It's done purely for the chase and all the 'extra curriculum activities' that surround 'The Hunt'. There are humane ways of reducing the fox population which is what most farmers do. Only a small percentage of them are hunt members.

Wow, I've been serious for a change! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I wonder if we got ten kids from an east end estate chased a stray dog then got their pet rotweiller to rip it apart there would be uproar and rightfully so, what exactlly is the difference a few red coats ????

its not about whether its right or wrong is it......

its about the right to continue a century's old 'sport' and resistance to yet another attempt to change the heritage and history of our country by Blair and his republican crooks....

I have no strong feeling either way but it stinks of hypocrisy.....

lets see if our friends in Bavaria also do away with boar hunting....

No Uncle it should not just be about tradition. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

The sport itself could continue. I've hunted when all the hounds were following was a scent trail. Or at the end of the chase the fox could be shot humanely. Throwing it to the hounds is something we, if not the Bavarians, should have grown out of. So there!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I think it is exactlly the point whether it is cruel or not !

I personally will never class it as a sport and in my eyes not all traditions are good !

Blair actually refused to back the bill another bloody promise he hasn't delivered on <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I think an explanation is in order! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Don't chase foxes. Chase gooners.

Serious bit: I used to belong to the League Against Cruel Sports. End of seriousness.

Traditions of this sort are changing all over the world to keep up with modern sensitivities. The members joining the EU, for instance, were discussing whether they would be allowed to continue to hunt bears, shoot birds etc.

Although I don't want to take away an exhilarating experience from anyone, I think hunting people should try to find ways of keeping their pastime as enjoyable as possible without upsetting the vast majority who find the treatment of the foxes to be no longer in tune with the times.

on a regular basis?

That's why so few trains run on time, they all have to stop for those damn kamikaze foxes.

Now if Connex South Eastern had put "fox catchers" on the front of their trains they wouldn't have had to stop, would have run a regular on time service & so wouldn't have lost their franchise.

I think for the good of commuters I'll have to vote to keep fox hunting now.
