Striker

I could be wrong but I seem to recall G&N showing an interest in Alan Tait when he was scoring goals for fun in the Kent League. At the time, G&N had lots of striker options and as there was a small fee involved - things never went any further and he signed for Folkestone.

The recent attempt to sign Warren Patmore suggests G&N are looking for a "Big Target Man" as opposed to someone in the mould of Alan Tait. Nevertheless, Alan Tait seems to be highly rated, has scored lots of goals for Folkestone, including 1 the other night against a full strength Gillingham first team so you weould have thought the Club might have got him on trial over the summer. Maybe Folkestone would require a large transfer fee?

I hear we've bid for Kevin Budge - have you heard anything bout this - is he any good.

The Urchins are gonna take the Ryman by storm - we might be playing G&N next season. afro.gif

Been the subject of alot of debate on this board. The fans on this board have split views about him. Has never really proved himself in a Fleet shirt but hardly played for us last season. If its true, its a big decision for Andy as we dont have enough strikers as it is but could be good business to recoup our initial transfer fee.

He never got a decent run the side he has a great first touch and i think we should keep hold of him,put his goal away well against Yeovil.By the way got talking to Chey at Safeways the other night Margate are training up at A E I he said he was looking forward to a fresh challenge and cant wait for the Christmas period when we play each other.

I think towards the end of last season he was showing some more promise but he just wasn't getting the goals that he should be,alot of people have said he just needs a few scrappy goals..maybe they're right,i'm not sure,i'd like to see him do well but i'm not sure he will. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I think he'd be very good at a lower level though.

Is the fact that there is still no profile or photo of Budge in the Player Profiles indicative of the fact that the club are looking to move him on?

Realistically there is no chance of us moving to a new ground. Were skint as it is, where's the money coming from?

It's a shame because this is an expanding area, but there's a distinct lack of interest in the club from local people and local businesses.

Regardless of cashflow, there are certain terms in our lease should the landlords wish to have their land back.

One of these includes provision of a new ground.

Is there any time limit on this clause? - Would the landlord be able to simply wait for a designated time limit to elapse before evicting us?

If the landlord did decide to relocate us, are there any specific clauses in any of the documentation, which would have an involvement in any relocation? - For example would they be obliged to provide local accommodation, or accommodation with certain facilities?

Every year the 10 year lease is extended by one year.

If they decide they want the club out then they have to provide the club with a new ground that suits the level we are playing at!

Despite ownership of the land / ground changing hands more than once over the last couple of years, the conditions of the lease remain.

I'm sure that Dave can fill in anyhing that I've missed.
