Canvey v Northampton - tickets

Sorry, all the tickets went on sale at Park Lane at 3:30 and by 4 o'clock they were all sold out. All 4,200 of them. However, the game will be on Big Screen in all the local pubs on Canvey on the day so you might be able to come over to the island and watch it that way.
Always up to date and on the ball. That's us.
Frenchy
BTW We will have the result of the Canvey v Northampton game here on the website by about 7:30pm this evening. Ian and I are working on it right at this moment. If anyone has any suggestions to help us, please post quickly.
[ 18 November 2001: This message was edited by: Frenchy ]

I'm incredibly puzzled. my m8 from Northampton asked how many tickets we might get for the FA Cup 2nd round tie @ Canvey Island. you said that we play u tonight but this is not true and u must be having a laugh at his expense. the tie will be played on the weekend of 7/8/9 December, maybe televised by the BBC. Cobblers fans will get tickets otherwise you will find yourself with a legal fight on your hands. do not worry we will have a good game when we do play u later next month and hopfully the league side will come out on top with a 2-0 win!!

good luck in the league though Canvey!

It's 7:25 and down here at the King Canute it is packed out. Loads of Northampton fans are complaining because they didn't get to hear about the game being played tonight until rather late, but at least they made it. If you're not here yet, don't bother. You won't get in.
Great atmosphere. Just like the JJB Stadium when their second bloke got sent off. Jeff has just announced the line up and because of a few injuries picked up yesterday, he's playing himself.
N'hampton are out there now, warming up. They look good, but I reckon we'll do them.
Apologies from the website if we didn't get the information to you all about the sudden fixture re-arrangement, but you can read my totally unbiased match report later tonight.
Must go now. Wayne (captain for the night) has just kicked off.
Merv

OFFICIAL MATCH REPORT
Game cancelled after 25 minutes due to a bearded streaker running onto the pitch, being chased by Jeff, being caught and then being 'told off' at the sea wall end. The ref consulted his rule book but could find nothing to cover the circumstances and so abandoned the game.
Replay - 8th Dec.
Pity, 'cos Canvey were 37-nil up at the time.
Merv CIFC

Assume that you had kept a clean shet up to game being abandoned by playing Jeff King in front of goal!!!!
