A not terribly impressive 1 : 1 draw with Thurrock.

Despite plenty of possesion in the first half we didn't look like scoring and after sloppy defending leading to Thurrock squandering a couple of good chances it was no surprise when Thurrock took the lead.

The introduction of Kwashi at half time helped to brighten things up a bit but it still came as a bit of a surprise when Pinnock smacked in a terrific volley following Kwashi's knock on to equalise.

Drury showed some good touches and looks quite useful, Kwashi did a couple of his usual runs and crosses, Pinnock took the goal well and whoever the little No 28 was who played up front in the second half looked quite lively. The defense didn't look to clever but Shearer wasn't too bad and I think Eddie McClements was not bad at right back in the first half. Skins did one awful tackle which would have definately got him carded had it not been a friendly.

I don't like jumping on bandwagons and it was only a friendly played on a very hot day but it really did look like we need someone up front with a bit of presence.

"The little no 28" was Ben Abbey, ex Crawley, Barnet, Macclesfield, who played against us for Woking last season. In goal was new signing Alex O'Reilly playing against his former club.
