Barkingside 1-1 E's

Wes Borghys with a first half penalty .
Apparently we should have won it . :wall:

In all fairness both side will have thought they should have won it.
We had a couple of great chances in the 2nd half, with jerry going close which should really have gone in from about 6 yeards out,
then their keeper pulled of a fine stop from close range as the ball went ping pong stly in their area.

Daniel also pulled out a great stop when the referee awarded them a one on one whilst wayne brown was down in the oppo half following a clash of heads.
that prompted a discussion about the relative contents of peoples handbags and the like, when in reality the ref shoudl have simply stopped the game attended to the wounded and then got on with things.
All said a good match the penalty wasnt contentious - obvious shove when thru,
a satisfactory point against a decent side in my view.

next up stanstead - on a poxy monday night -

Enfield controlled the majority of that game, I don't think we can afford to drop points in games like that if we are ever going to get out of this league.
The amount of chances we had on goal it could have been 3 or 4 and it should have been if the strikers had their shooting boots on..
The absence of some key players showed more than i hoped it would!
