I believe all this communication from Southend supporters, much more than we have had in the past, is really them testing their logins and how to use this site in preparation for next season when their club will actually be a member of the non league community.

Not meaning to be rude but this site is crap due to the length of time it takes to post a message.

Our own site is instantaneous still that's because our brains (Yes, we have them) work quicker than a rats!

Look boys you can't claim asylum on here. Now run along and catch a train back to Dover and back across the Channel.

mwahahaha! You sound like a Kosovan with a rocket up their backside!

Not a pikey- i live in a house like most people on Canvey Island-- keep to the football-- please dont get into personal insults its not what im here for,its just a bit of banter after all,and very tongue in cheek.

Indeed. And similarly, we're not Kosovans and we'd rather like to send them all packing on a cargo ship back to the Balkans; the crime in Southend would drop like a stone.

But then each and every club gets their pathetic little kids, no matter how big or small they might be. It can be friendly banter (pikey ) but some might take it too far ... on both sides.

WHat a sad bunch you Southend fans are. Or is it more likely to be one very sad Southend fan with no life at all!!!!

The fact that you are on this website in the first place shows you are jealous of Canvey.

Enjoy your season of watching your team slip closer to the conference. Whatever happens, us Canvey fans are going to enjoy a season of great entertaining football with a lot of WINS(remember that word Southend fans)and hopefully a championship win.

See you next year in the conference.

Some chance. The Wignall Revolution is here, my friend. Gloat all you want about your narrow win over us 'cos friendlies mean nothing. It's in the FOOTBALL LEAGUE where it counts and Southend are going onward and upward this coming season. As for Canvey? Well, I can't really see them mounting much of a serious challenge this season. You may wish all you want but come May I fear you will be disappointed again ...

I would agree and disagree with this arguement.

Yes it was only a friendly and in the big picture of football, doesn't really count for much. As far as the big picture of local rivalry, well, obviously it does 'cos of the way Canvey and Southend supporters have reacted on this forum. Again, it was a game, no points won in the league, no further distance travelled in a cup competition.

As for Canvey not mounting a serious challenge for the coming season...I would think that they would. Reluctant tho I am to admit it, the teams that Jeff King has built (sorry, bought) have had quality stamped all over 'em at the non league level and I would be surprised to see 'em not go out as they have in previous seasons and make a very serious challenge for promotion. As for winning it (or anything) remains to be seen.

I would like to see them do it. Despite what some folk around here say, there is, albeit recent, history and rivalry between the Fleet & CIFC, most of it, I'm very pleased to say, good natured. Our natural rivals are Dartford but you can forget them and geographicaly, Canvey's closer to us than our nearest Kent conference side, Margate. It's no good having rivalry if you're not playing each other so I'm all for it. It spices the season up, doesn't it? Anyway, is it still just the one promotion slot this year? 2004/2005 sees the restructuring kick in.

Im not being funny but i cant see how Southend fans can comment.

There players are nothing.

Look at your midfield, id much rather have minton in there than Maher.

I have such a passion for hating Southend!

Another one, Boylan or the lazy mug Bramble who thinks he has made it big time by playing for Southend.

If Canvey were in the 3rd division they would probably do no worse a job then Southend.

Only good thing i can see coming out of Southend is young Kightley.

Thanks John the fleet for adding something sensible to this forum. As I have said before best of luck next year and lets meet in the Conference. The rivalry we have is very special.

These few Southend fans on here have nothing to boost about.Their club has had to get a reject manager from their biggest rivals!!!! They know they are on there way out and on their way to the conference.

Good luck to Gravesend next year and lets hope we can both play Southend in the conference and laught at them!!!!!!

Bramble is incapable of thinking; it's truly beyond him as we witnessed up at Maldon Town last Tuesday. We'd rather have Boylan but Michael Husbands will do for the moment ...

Jeepers, this kid has promise. We first took notice of him during our extended ESC run last season and he's in danger of making many more first-team appearances this coming campaign, albeit from the bench. He might appear to be a bit too small, but he rides challenges so well and his skill is truly breathtaking for one so young. He even has his own song now ...
