You say that people from Basildon cant afford houses so they wont turn up for football!

I live in Basildon and have been supporting the Gulls many years and have encouraged a lot of other people from there to support them.

What makes you think only people from Canvey have a right to support them,its fans like you making them sort of remarks that will discourage people from outside Canvey to visit Park Lane.

I am no lesser human being than you because I live in Basildon and I did buy my house,so stop being a prat and lowering the standard of Canvey contributors on this forum!

Look on the bright side Gravesend,your team reminded me of our pre-season friendlys last season,but things slowly got better after an abysmal start to the season.The last thing canvey fans want is for you to come down,just in case we make it this year(is there such a thing as fourth time lucky?)

Yeah,it's easy to get dispondant & critical of your team when pre-season doesn't go well. Thing is the Conference is a tight league, any team from 12th down had a good chance of relegation. Look at Southport, so a good start is vital. You'll make it this year. You must. I've put a bet on it!!
