Poor attitude to prices

Burnley wanted to charge £6 anywhere in the ground for the FA Cup tie but Canvey Island refused and wanted full league prices. This would have meant Canvey Island supporters paying £18.

The FA had to be called in to arbitrate and now the prices are £4 less than normal league prices. This means you will pay £14 rather than the £6 Burnley wanted to charge you.

This is down to the greed of your own club who will now miss out because with these prices there will not be a very big crowd. At £6 we would have been looking at 16,000 upwards. Now we can expect not much more than 5 to 6,000.

Why go and spoil your big day out?

We are a small club with management who want to achieve a hell of a lot. £6 a head even though it means us paying more will probably be more beneficial. I can't really see an extra 10,000 people turning up to watch you play a non league team, even if the tickets are cheap.
