I see on the Isthmian League web site that Enfield's first two matches on Saturday and Monday have been postponed but no explanation is given. I was thinking of popping over to Monday's match. Why are these games off?

I can only guess that they've been suspended for some reason. Often comes down to finances. Also know that their chairman has been up in front of the FA about something to do with the finances, could be related to that.

If it was just the home game that had been called off I'd assume it was due to the ongoing dispute with Borehamwood about the rent, but that should not prevent them playing away games.

My understanding is that Enfield are in dispute about their groundshare with Borehamwood, and as a result do not have a home ground to play on. That is why the temporary suspension has taken place.

Sadly as a ground is part of the league rules, I guess the league has little choice until the situation can be sorted.

It could assist Enfield in the long run, as it will bring the situation to a head, and hopefully a soloution can be found quickly.

Why all the surprise, The finances just don't add-up, with the small attendances and all the costs. At some point top entrepreneurs in whatever business have to know when to let a loss leader go and take their money and find a more profitable investment where they are going to be trusted and respected!
