Interesting fact.....for all the talk about having no striker we have scored 3 goals in 3 games and picked up 0 points, Chester have scored 2 goals in 3 games and are 3rd in the league with 7 points.

If we kept a few clean sheets we would shoot up this league with or without a big striker.

But a striker to score in the last minute to pick up three points instead of one would see us shoot up the league even quicker

Intersting theory, but when you have to defend for nigh on 90 minutes (like last Saturday)playing without a recognised Striker, clean sheets are difficult to come by. Whichever way you look at our situation, the failure to solve the Striker situation could be our downfall. Do not overlook the goals we scored from midfield last season mainly from two players who, at the end of last season, did not want to play for the Club.

 

Theories and statistics are fine, but nil points tells the truth.

 

The key to management, whatever the business, is solutions not excuses. People that throw up excuses with no idea how to put things right should stand down. Peoople who admit they have done their best, but can do no more, depart with dignity. Hang around to long and everything becomes unpleasant. Nobody wants this to happen.

 

The board of Directors here have done a fantastic job over the last 3 years and long may they continue. I trust them to resolve this situation we find ourselves in. They too must be disturbed about the

progress on the field since last April.

 

Get behind the players, they are doing their best and leave the Board to sort the rest out.

To say that the two players from midfield did not want to play for the club is a bit of a misrepresentation Jimmy has had several chances to move on and turned them down but an offer fro D&R was obviously too good an opportunity to miss out on and Bentley rarely stays at a club longer than a season anyway.

 

But I agree with you on most of your other points
