Gulls Manager Jeff King has stated in the Evening Echo tonight that he will be making one or two changes for tomorrow's trip to Maidenhead United. Nothing wholesale but a couple of edits here and there.

The Squad for tomorrow is the same as last Saturday & Tuesday:

Potter, Harrison, Smith, Chenery, Theobald, Cowan, Duffy, Kennedy, Protheroe, Dobinson. Minton, Parmenter, Gooden, Midgley, Gregory, Boylan & Berquez.

Steve Ward & Craig Davidson are back from their travels but will be playing for the Reserves -Vs- Romford tomorrow at Park Lane as will Micky Bennett who has just recovered from his injury.

Hopefully these changes will be what the fans have been agreeing with all along and will give Canvey some more shape and width on the pitch. Players in their natural positions would help too!!

Matt CIFC's Prediction

Maidenhead Utd 2 - 4 Canvey Island

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!!

Oh I wouldn't want to do that Canv!

I've got a new Digital Camcorder to test out tomorrow, not that I'll get much on it with the battery life I have at the minute though. Ordered a new one this morning, lasts about 4 times longer. Might get some good clips though of the Players & Fans if they're singing loud enough and we score...

i thought those babies lasted for hours now..! good for getting great 'stills' from a bit of goalmouth action, if the thing can focus quick enough

The one I've just bought lasts from anything from 12 to 4 hours. The one that came as standard with the thing only lasts for anything from 40mins to 110mins...

My Camcorder can take some quick stills but I tested a few and they seemed a tad off colour, but a bit of editing on my Laptop sorted that out!! However on the plus side it does have a Sports mode, which basically means that if you're taping a game of football where the ball and players move quickly and the camera has to follow quickly too. The focus changes quickly so you should be able to keep up with play. It has an Optical Zoom 10x and a Digital Zoom of 500x. The 500x kind of takes the piss a bit considering from the Point I can almost make out people on Southend pier, even if they do look rather fuzzy!!

But as I don't know of any football pitch the length of about 5 miles I wouldn't really need to zoom that far... The 20x should do it if I wanted to get a close up of a goal-line scramble up the other end....Tomorrow's the first real test of fast moving objects etc. so I don't expect to have anything other than a few seconds of decent footage.

SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

No-one else knows that!!!

Besides none of the things I filmed were moving that much, the boats were easy to track and the buildings along the Leigh/Chalkwell seafront don't exactly hop around. The quickest thing I got on tape was an Ambulance on it's way to a call near the Smallgains Cricket Pitch.

Tomorrow will be a REAL test!!

Besides there was nothing worth filming up the Beach!

Is that not an offence Tackle!!

Jervais reckons you should have been arrested when you cornered her under the stands, she said you tried that dipping thing then too..

It wasn't meant to be an offence Pilgrim!

I suppose the Seal that broke that bloke's leg off of Southend got what he deserved too!

Poor Jervais!! I bet Little Miss Urchin wouldn't have stood for any of those antics!!
