unfortunatly, I can't make it tomorrow..

But what a great idea, and hopefully the first of regular fans forums, I always looked forward to Andys regular postings on this forum, but to hear the news from the man himself is even better.

Lets congratulate the club on the positive step forward.

Good luck tomorrow night...

I will also miss the forum being an exile in Barnstaple,so be careful Dave or us outcasts will be ganging up on you!!

Hope the forum proves to be worthwhile from everybodys point of view, and at least clear the air a bit and get everyone moving in the same direction,at the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious "Sybil" it's the club that is paramount.

And yeah let's have some feedback for us poor hicks in the sticks.

It was very, very good. It wasn't anything like the 'bloodbath' I was dreading! I haven't time to go into detail but I'm sure someone has taken notes on the dialogue and will post them out in due course. The questions were certainly not watered down and Andy answered them all openly & honestly. He reiterated his committment to the club but was very forthright in explaining our (and his) shortfalls and the problems he has encountered both on & off the pitch regarding players, signings, finances, training, tactics, you name it. When you hear about the struggles the club has to endure, it's a wonder we're in the Conference at all! There were questions from the floor and the whole thing was conducted in a professional and civilised manner. It seems this will now be a regular occurence which can only be a good thing.

yes i enjoyed i too

probably because of the sober realisation that we are up against it

both with the fulltime teams and clubs with money

I'm left with the thought that our little club has in andy

a really good manager

he has been with us six years

and i remember that in the ryman league

it does take a while to get a settled team together

we are in another league literally

and he is trying to get a new side together

and it appears that our ex players like bentley and burton speak well of the club

which must mean that if we can't compete with the bucks

then those who are part time might well want to join us

because their football contribution is taken seriously

i think that is where our future direction lies

just as dario gradi at crewe has an ace reputation for bringing people on and selling them on to higher things

that's what we should be emulating

meanwhile andy has the task of securing our respected status in the conference to do this and that means scouting for any and everything that looks promising, but also trying to attract experience and seasoned pros who will do that job for us, and not fleece us

people like ade pennock

in other words andy is trying to do a rednapp at portsmouth

and a dario at crewe.

i think the longer he stays with us the better for the club

just look at fergusson and curbishley <img src="/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />
