Will Andy ever give him a chance? Maybe no-one else thinks this but if Andy brought him on for 30mins in the second half to mix it up and for him to show us what he can do. He wont be here for much longer if he doesnt get a chance. Who knows he might play well he might not but give him a chance before he decides to leave like Budge did.

Rumour has it that Andy and Louis have had a major argument, with Andy saying that he won't even bring Louis on if he is named as sub. Great man management or what?!?

Talking of strikers....Why dont we try and loan in an 18y old reserve from a premiership club for a season. Im sure that they would like to play competitive football plus im sure the premiership club would still wear their weekly wage ???? Is this not a viable option for our current striker problem???

The suggestion with regards to getting a Premierahip/League player on loan is something that recently crossed my mind but surely the club must have explored this option and it may not be as easy as we think. We might not be able to afford all of the players wages but we might be able to strike up a deal witht the club concerned, maybe pay half the wage, etc, etc. Millwall, Charlton, Gillingham, West Ham all these clubs are located not that far from Gravesend so the players travel shouldn't be a problem.

Gillingham must have a decent striker that they could loan to us for a while, they have got Shaw, King, Johnson, Wallace and must have some promising youngsters coming through. I think they are even trying to buy Jason Roberts from West Brom.

Hessenthaler is a Gravesend lad so what better way to help out your home town club by loaning us a player and Pennock used to play their recently so he knows Hessy.

What about Stansfield at Yeovil, I know he unfortunatley broke his leg against us last year but I am sure he is back in training and what better way to get your fitness back by playing Conference football.

Actually a Chelsea supporter suggested we get in touch with their affluent chairman and try to get one of their players either first or reserve side who would probably be quite happy to play at any level as long as he got a match. He said that we would need to let them know that we couldn't possibly pay their wages or any part of, but that it would create a good image for the club, as people are always saying that Premiership sides only worry about the Premiership.

Surely someone in authority could get out the 'begging bowl' nothing to lose - just maybe something to gain? <img src="/images/graemlins/wurm.gif" alt="" />

I honestly had a thought the other day about this.... wouldnt Roman want to be seen to be helping out a local side with £20/30k a year maybe a £100k!!!!! absolute pitence to what he is worth and spending at Chelsea and it would paint him in a good light with most football fans??!! It would raise our profile aswell!!!! Any chance somebody official contacts Chelsea?? Why not?? Ver viable option i think!! Or similar things with other London based clubs helping out a conference neighbour!!
