The earliest that Enfield will commence their league campaign is now Saturday, 20th September, after their next two games against Berkhamsted Town and Wealdstone were called off by the Ryman League. Should Enfield meet their Friday afternoon deadline to solve the dispute with Boreham Wood, then they would have to play 46 league matches in just over seven months, a very tough task. If they don't, then it is now expected that they will not be allowed to take part in the league this season. (www.nonleaguefans.co.uk)

I don't want to be the harbinger of doom here, and I really do want to see you survive long enough to get rid of Lazarou, but will you still be allowed to compete in the FA Cup if it all goes pear shaped on Friday?

Rule 5(e) of the FA Cup says, "If a Club is removed from the League in which it is playing, once it has been accepted into the Competition, The Association has the power to remove the Club from the Competition."

What then happens to your participation in the County cups?

I suppose it's just a matter of hoping Laz might actually keep a promise.

According to www.efcfans.com Enfield start their season on September 20th at home to Barton Rovers, though where this home is has yet to be revealed.

Let's wait and see!

From the confidence expressed by syrup who appear close to the throne looks like they might have something sorted.

Glad to see EFC will be back up and running again soon. What sort of squad have you got left? An earlier post told us that Mark Pye had left, what about Al-James, is he still there? Who do you face in the next round of the FA Cup?

It might take a long time, to get a reply to a question,on this site AT.

It was suggested 3 or 4 days ago, that Derek had resigned....still no word on that(Offical or otherwise).

It seems EFC are only getting about a 1/4 of the posts(on this forum) they were getting last season...I hope that's not reflected in their attendances, when they kick of the season.

I feel it may have been one broken promise to far, even for the last few diehard fans.

dell is still at the culb not that it seems to have mutch to do with the town fans (why are town fans so concernedwith what del is doing) & the reason the hits on this site have gone down are there are a lot of town fans that dont seem to be comming onto the nlf since the town got rid of there forum

Town are getting plenty of hits on the nlf...I was refuring to the frequency of POSTS on this site.

Is EFC becoming such a closed shop that the remaining fans don't feel free to discuss team affairs on the nlf,or has your enthusiasm been crush out of you.(not a dig at the fans by the way,i really feel sickened at the way fellow non-league fans can be treated by their club.)

Good luck for the start of the season.....Also,probably why me and AT are concerned about whats going on,may have something to do with the fact they we had around 40 years of watching EFC,under our belts, between us.

And you could leave sooooo easy coz of ONE man should have stayed longer!! The 40 years of watching Enfield means nothing now at all, you are now a Town fan NOT Enfield. And for the people who give it all the "yes it does crap" no it dont you left, the club's worries, matters and staff that are left should be no concern of yours any more!!!!

Que rant and rave's!!!

Simple question Big Bad. One that even you should be able to answer without resorting to abuse. When did you start watching EFC?

We left to PRESERVE football in Enfield,To try and recapture what had been killed off long before we left.

We knew EFC would be slowly desimated(as is being proved)....We wanted something in place BEFORE the inevitable happened....We loved Enfield f.c too much, to watch it being humiliated by a slow death...the greatest tribute we have payed the old club, was to try to recapture some of the pride and spirit that we so loved about it.

So that's only 4 or 5 years less than me.

I had wondered whether you were a fairly 'new' supporter who hadn't suffered the full horror of Lazarou's regime but clearly that isn't so. In that case I would have expected you to understand why so many of us simply lost patience with the man.
