Gravesend Fixture Congestion

Dave. Were you resting players last night or did you think you had done enough to win but the OG came too late for you to score again. Apparently, you nearly screwed it up against Heybridge where you rested players in the second half. Up until the Burnley game, it did not matter which team Canvey put out because of the strength in depth which achieved the right results. First, we have got to start putting a winning run back together in the league. Yes, I was looking at a fixture pile up your end to create a bit of havoc with your results but who wouldn’t if it helps and as you have the slight advantage now. You have a very good team and when Canvey play their usual game (before Burnley) then there is nothing between the two sides. It could be a close thing.

I'm ashamed to admit it Phil, but the OG was our goal not Histon's we were one nil down.
Don't know what happened, perhaps we thought it would be too easy, and took by the time we found out that it wasn't we were in trouble.
But a good side can play badly and come out not losing. I trust that we won't make the same mistake in the replay.
Our squad is almost as large as yours now, and we don't have any suspensions coming up so that we help counter the fact that we have to play an extra match (remember that one of our TBAs is against you)
Last thought, at the moment, you can't win the league we have to lose it. We can afford to lose one game for the rest of the season and still win the league.
The fat lady can sit down until April I think.

As mentioned on last nights match report, and on their board, Gravesend are running into fixture problems. Let's go back now to before the Burnley game and start playing with the right frame of mind before that game. Although we have had a great time this season, we haven't won anything yet. Let's get that hunger back in the bellies!

Dont Canvey have as many games left to play as us at Gravesend, though ? You may have played one more league game, but you are still in the wonderful Ryman League Cup, which we got ourselves out of recently. And you still have your County Cup competition like us and in addition the Essex Thameside Trophy ( whatever that may be !!) - Finally, both of us still have the FA Trophy to play. So if we have fixture congestion, so will you, surely ??.
