Come to Stonebridge Road today to watch us play leigh,

stand with the halfway liners , or behind the goal like me,

lets hope we score goals , no sent off, keeping it tight at the back,

Because anything less than that and boo boys will dish out the flack,

I know its a case of wait and see,but by tonight with our support , I think we'll be out the bottom three.

C'mon you rip roaring reds......

I was very pleased today, good result and good performance,i felt we should have got more goals but lets not be greedy <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I thought Haworth and owen look very good, and it was good to see wilkerson back!

Was disapointed by the behaviour of about 4 leigh fans who were standing behind the covered end in the first half...and with the actions of SOME of the leigh players, but all round,a good day!

Thought Walshe played a blinder, again, great to see Wilko back. Definately the best I've seen us play in a long while. Great to have such a good atmosphere in the second half.

Thought the opposition were rubbish, or at least we made them look that way. The guy who got sent off second was off his head!

Walshe is my MOM. Two divisions below his level and it shows, pure class. Pity we can't afford to keep him for the whole season.

Andy was right, it's taken a few games for the players to gel. We seem to be playing more as a team at last. I was concerned when Wilko came on at half-time, coming on cold, so to speak. We could of been caught out as it would have been an ideal opportunity for Leigh to score, luckily they didn't take it.

The referees assistant of ethnic origin had a 'mare', just on two points alone. First-half we didn't receive a corner after the Leigh defender 'played' the ball out of play. And, second-half, it wasn't 'hand-ball' against Leigh. The player had his back to the lino, so he couldn't of seen.

As for the Leigh player who lost it. What can you say, every team has it's Lee Skinner.

A real tough one next week, but Exeter aren't unbeatable.

tHE NUTTER WHO GOT SENT OFF ,ALSO PUSHED A STEWARD ON HIS WAY DOWN THE TUNNEL AGAINST A DOOR, AND THE KEEPERS ACTIONS AGAINST A MEMBER OF THE CROUD WAS DISCUSTING THEY GOT ALL THEY DISSERVED, THE CROUD WERE VERY QUITE IN THE FIRST HALVE BUT CAME UP TRUMPS IN THE SECOND HALF , KEEP IT UP. IN MY OPINION WALSHE HAD A GOOD GAME AND LOOKS TO BE GOOD

I thought today was the best we've played this season, I can only get to home games so maybe we have been better away, but we must take our chances. From memory Leigh only had 2 chances but scored one and hit the post with the other. How many good chances did we miss??

I thought the ref had a reasonable game but was badly let down by his assistants. The black assistant indicated two offsides in the second half, both of which the referee acted on, on both occasions the ball went down our left wing and the offside was given against the player in the middle of the pitch..............

On the second sending off, and from where I was sitting, Pinnock certainly jumped in at the goalie, however the reaction of their player whilst understandable was completely over the top. I don't think the ref handled that very well, grabbing hold of the player to restrain him. What if their player had hit out at the ref?? The ref would only have had himself to blame, after all if players can be charged with assault for manhandling officials I'm sure it could work the other way.

Looking forward to next week, if it's half as entertaining as today, and we win, I'll be well happy.

I didn't actually see what happened for the first sending of(was at the tea bar,so could someone tell me what happened?!)but i saw the 2nd one..i didn't think pinnock did "jump into him",i thought he jumped over the keeper, and i thought the keeper seemed to make alot of it,it didn't seem to affect his performance after the incident anyway.Anway,we won and thats the important thing!

C'mon fleet!

"at the tea bar" ???? during the game ?? Shocking behaviour !!

If you must, and only if you must, have a a cup of tea/coke/orange before you leave home, or before the game starts, or at half time !!

That way you won't miss anything !!

You know it makes sense !!

Cheers,

Are we not getting over excited by one win against a pile of rubbish while I was pleased with both the win and the three points I think we need to be realistic and say we are still one midfielders and two strikers short of being a midtable outfit. We do still desperately need a good striker as I am afraid Abbey and Howarth areadequate at best and not good enough at worst.
