Evo-Stik manager of the month

Recommended Posts

Neil Aspin - FC Halifax Town:

Kelham O'Hanlon - AFC Fylde:

Keith Brown/Richard Evans - Romulus

sm_1277821086.jpgDue to the few games played in December because of the snow and ice there has been a combined award for the months of December and January.

FC Halifax Town’s Neil Aspin was the clear winner of the Premier Division prize with six league wins out of seven games with the only reverse being a 2-1 away defeat at Colwyn Bay. His side scored 23 goals in those seven games conceding just five and also added a victory in the League Cup although that was later wiped out due to Halifax having inadvertently played an ineligible player.

The First Division North award was a close run thing between AFC Fylde’s Kelham O’Hanlon and Chorley boss Gary Flitcroft with both clubs having identical records of five wins, one draw and a defeat. The two met in the semi-final of the Lancashire FA Trophy and with AFC Fylde coming out on top the award went to O’Hanlon the former Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper who was also Assistant Manager to David Moyes at Preston North End.

In the First Division South Romulus went in to December with a very ordinary playing record of five wins and five defeats in thirteen games but since then they have really motored recording seven wins in eight games including their last six on the bounce. The only blot on joint managers Keith Brown and Richard Evans record during that period was a home defeat to Stamford by the only goal of the game.

Neil Aspin will receive his award on Saturday 5th February prior to the kick off of the league fixture versus Nantwich Town. On the same day Keith Brown & Richard Evans will receive their award prior to the Grantham Town league fixture. Kelham O’Hanlon will receive his award on Tuesday 8th February prior to the kick off of the home President’s Cup tie versus Chester FC.
