Something I find weird is that every season since we became a Ryman Premier League club we've been drawn at home in the Second Qualifying round. We've never had an away tie!! (maybe something to do with seeding?)

I was reckoning on us getting Burnham Ramblers or Lowestoft away!

As CANV mentioned some cracking ties in the FA Cup and some big sides who you would have expected to have had a really good run and got to the First Round could be suffering an early exit.

Apart from the ones mentioned above these ones look interesting.

Newport County v Weymouth

Worcester City v Nuneaton

Vauxhall Motors v Southport (both these sides got to the second round proper last year!!)

Seems to be quite a few all Premier ties and as mentioned above some of the bigger sides who you would of fancied to have had a bit of a run could be facing an early exit. Certainly Billericay and Grays would have been expecting far easier games especially at this stage of the competition.

The other side of the coin is that some of Non League's lesser lights could have a bit of a run in the competition. Looking at the draw from an Essex point of view the likes of Burnham R and Tilbury have winnable games so have a great chance of a decent run.

Certainly with a lot of the better non league sides being knocked out it makes Canvey's route to the promised land of the First Round proper a little easier.
