Can we stop the season now!

It would be very convenient to stop the season now!

Canvey top of the league

Billericay in the bottom three

Southend United in the bottom two

Spurs in the bottom three

Shame West Ham didn't win on Saturday still can't have everything!

Took a while to get going tonight and certainly Heybridge are a much improved side from last season. They played some good football at times.

Played much better in the second half and once we scored, we really grew in confidence.

Superb battling performances by Dobbo and J.K and Jeff Minton got better as the match wore on.

Also nice to keep another clean clean sheet and with results elsewhere going our way, it's looking rather good!

Field the 'Reserves' for the Essex Senior Cup, Bryco Cup etc. Try and get some money from the FA Cup - going out to Chelsea at home in Round 3 will do me...Not sure about the FA Trophy though, go for it or throw it? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Saw Garry Hill at the match tonight. Hope he's not after a new striker after a certain Mr Stein left!!

Seeing as you have been so successful at loaning out Bertie Brayley, is there any chance of sharing that beautiful lush green, rain soaked pitch to the smaller clubs in the County. Having seen nothing but bone hard pitches so far this season that was a joy to behold !! Well done the Gulls - now just stay there !

early days ladies.. this is our best start for 4 years!! let keeps those heads down.. its a tight league this season which suits us.. we have a very tough run of games coming up!! i believe we play better against the better clubs who want to play footabll i think we have a great chance of making the 1st round proper of the f.a. cup and duffing some poxy league club up again.. but never forget, getting results against teams like heybridge is what its all about this season.. sure we took the piss at the end but it was a trek to get that first goal!!! league first chaps the cups can wait..

Be interesting to see how Jeff approaches the FA cup, could be he will get some of those players not in the side at present cup-tied

He will want to keep his options open with a large squad for that time of the year when the injuries come one after the other

We should note that not only is this the best start for four years but a 100% different start, scrapping for the 1--0 victory!s could just push Canvey far enough ahead to handle the little dip in results when it (and it will) happens

agreed pabird.. other results were friendly to us again last night.. a much more dogged approach from the start this season.. the f.a. cup takes priority now with only the visit of alysebury in between to interupt proceedings.. a place in the 1st round proper is a must this season.. and remmeber if wigan go up we can claim to have turned over a premiership side..!!
