Last night's Evening Echo (if Dick writes it, then it MUST be true!)said that if the Doncaster/Yeovil game wasn't played, then the two sides would be asked to try again on Thursday.
It would seem, then, that both teams have a slot in their programme for the replay to be over with before the weekend, so WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
The big boys of the Conference obviously don't fancy midweek travel and late nights before a school day, but are quite prepared to take a major advantage from the fact that WE will now probably have to do the round trip on a weeknight, fans and players alike. Don't they think they can beat us simply with superior skills?
Come on you two, get it out of the way on Thursday and give us a pop at the weekend, when the all-important support of the Yellow Army will have more chance to assemble in force.

Yeah i must say i agree with Wilf this fixture has been hanging in the air for way to long now and when your a team like Canvey you have other things to worry about as well like the league for instance.
What difference does it make Doncaster/Yeovil if we beat you at a weekend or during the week. At least at a weekend we can bring more yellow army supporters to enjoy the occasion and just think of the extra money that will be gained at the turn styles.
Pages,

Just a thought - what happens if the replay is postponed on Saturday ? I don't believe the forecast for Doncaster is too bad for the next few days, but of course I don't know what state the pitch is in (not as bad as Yeovil's I'm sure - there was an interesting article on their website about the problems they've had with it). I know this scenario is unlikely, but just wondered if the powers that be had made any provision for it...(even more unlikely I know).
