Hello LS, thanks for the info (although I knew already as I received a number of text messages yesterday). No, I haven't put the lights out it seems as though I screwed something when I was uploading the other day. Will try to sort in time for this weekend's exploits.

The index page obviously isn't there, or else Freeola is looking for something with a different name. If you have uploaded it as "index.htm" I don't know that Freeola will find it because it looks for either "index.html" or "index.php" (and the file name must be lower case).

Has been back for the last few days.

Rather interestingly, no one has actually put a post up about that. But it is the same old story... nothing said when there or up to date.. plenty of maons when missing or not up to date.

Have been working on updates as far as able during the couse of today and they should be up later on this evening.... if I ever get access to the phone!

Derek,

We'd all noticed it was back up - but as it doesn't have any new information on there's not a great deal to comment on!

Yes Mr Bird - Why no report on the web-site.

But having asked that queston why was there no report in the Non League Paper either this week.

I would have thought the Towners would have put something in.

As I put on a previous thread - will put up what ever I get. Didn't go to the game so can't write a fairy tail like other sources have. Doubt if I will get much of a report as I only receive half a dozen or so lines for a reserve game anyway.

Ouch!!!

Sorry Derek! Then again it was not 'my' match,
<img src="/images/graemlins/tongue2.gif" alt="" /> so there.

I could give you a 1000 lines on the match of 27/9/03, but I'm not going to, YET.

Website off again? Even as an interested observer I'm finding it increasingly difficult to get information about results and fixtures. This can't be helping the attendances....

AT, I haven't "pulled the plug" (as a previous post put it)on www.enfieldfc.com .... just yet.... it is merely in hibernation.

When I quit being EFC Secretary, I promised Mark (and the others) that I would continue to help out by (1) producing the youth team programme (2) updating the website and (3) would be available if any info about things I had dealt with was required.

I have fulfilled my 'obligations' in respect of nos 1 & 3 and will continue to do so as long as required.

Unfortunately, during the course of the last few weeks number 2 has become a problem...

he who does EVERYTHING (just read the NLP and you will know what I mean) has failed to provide me with any information.

Indeed, as far as I can assertain, he doesn't even tell Mark anything useful e.g. fixture changes - which may be passed on to me - but goes straight to Rob Brassett (the Cheshunt Secretary!)

As, in my opinion, having no website is better than having an out of date web site, I advised Mark last week that I will effectively close it down until the situation changes.

I know that you (and your fellow ETFC friends and non-league followers in general) have an interest in what is happening and can only apologise for this course of action... but it had to be done. In the mean time, I suggest that you check out the EFC Fans website in the hope that you might find something there.

I will no longer be assisting with regards to Putting fixtures changes onto this forum it was my understanding all had been infomaed of the changes before me and I was assisting as a supporters in getting information out, this does not seem to be the case.

The information coming out of EFC at present is far from exceptable and untill all supporters are fully informed be the club of the current situation.

I like Del suggest the EFC Fans site may be a better place to find your information in the future.

Thanks for your efforts Del and great job in a bad sitoation hopefully this will change and things can get back to normal in the near future.

Rob

Derek, I know the problem of operating dual websites. Have to say it's just not possible to keep both up to date as you can only be at one club's games at a time. EFC Fans seems to be the site of choice now as it is quickly updated after games. Will the EFC forum remain here though?
