Basildon Town eased in to the Semi Final last night, with a 5-0 win over Focus Ferrers from the Mid Essex League. Town will now face Burnham Ramblers Reserves at Leslie Fields with a date TBA. Town are looking to retain the trophy they won last season.

Town are still on track to retain the trophy they won last season, following a 0-2 win at Burnham Ramblers Res last night.

The final is due some time next week back at Leslie Fields where we will play Great Baddow.

Last night's match was postponed at 6:00pm due to a waterlogged pitch following a downpour at 5:00pm. Bloody annoying as we had already left to get there. No one's fault, just one of those things. No new date set yet.

Basildon Town 2 - 1 Gt Baddow (AET, 1-1 90 mins)

Last night Basildon Town retained the trophy they won last season, when they finally overcame Mid Essex League Champs Gt Baddow at Burnham Ramblers FC's ground.

Baddow stormed into an early lead and comfortably held it to the interval. It was a more determined Town that returned to the field and were soon level through a scrambled Mike Fenttiman goal following a corner. Both keepers made great saves throughout the 2nd half to maintain parity, forcing the tie into extra time.

Within minutes of the restart, Town went ahead when Tom Wolfe rifled a shot into the roof of the net from the edge of the 6 yard box. Despite a late Baddow onslaught, Basildon Town defended brilliantly and held out for a fine victory.
