There seemed like quite a few anoraks from another Forum at Crawley Road last night:

Cranfield United 1 Amersham Town 1 aet (0-3 pens) (Spartan South Mids Division 1 Cup) Att: 20

No, Jaundiced Hack - Cranfield were in red and white stripes with numbers quite visible.

Jimmyjazz was kind - the second half was dreadful, the first half and extra time were worse. Praise be for the shortest possible penalty shoot out, although I have a funny feeling the third Cranfield miss was deliberate with closing time beckoning.

I did, however, like the ground - nice homemade seated stand on one side and some covered standing in front of the clubhouse. Admission £4, prog £1 (not a great read, sadly) and a very decent cup of tea was a quid.

PREMIER DIVISION

6-0 Tring Athletic v Hertford Town

Business as usual then at Cow Lane last night:

SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE PREMIER

Tring Athletic 6-0 Hertford Town

Admission & Prog £5.00 Attendance 45

What a difference three days can make. On Saturday, Tring were outfought and outclassed. Last night, they turned the tables and, having taken less than a minute to go in front, simply tore their visitors to shreds helped by the dismissal of the HT5.

Catering back to normal with correctly cut burger buns and cheese and onion available. I sidestepped the Bovril in favour of coffee which was much more flavoursome.

Results of the other games under consideration vindicated my decision to visit the same third-party ground twice for consecutive games (not normally done if I can help it) and my GPG average now stands at exactly 4.00

Still a nightmare to park though with rugby training the same night.
