The difference is that when Enfield were paying out proper money for players, players wages and staff. They were one of the most successful non-league teams of all time.Winning The Conference,The fA trophy..etc.Enfield still hold the record for England semi-pro caps.

It was only since they started reducing player expenses to the level of teams like Corinthian Casuals (ie..Hardly nothing) that they slipped into the same level as such teams.

Do you take any bar receits at The Casuals?? Niether of the Enfield teams take a single penny in bar money and have to pay rent on their groundshares. That leaves precious little to pay the players ,believe me.

You do not seem to have reduced players expenses to our level, we do not pay any expenses or wages.

'Enfield still hold the record for England semi-pro caps.'

You cannot live in the past we still hold the record for most full international caps, admitedly all won in the late 1800,s and early 1900,s.

Yes we do take bar receipts but existed for 105 years not taking bar receipts, I appreciate you have little money to pay players but what ever you pay is more than us. Are we suposed to feel sorry for you ?

No more than we are suppossed to feel sorry for you.

You stated that Enfield spent all that money over 40 years and ended up at the same level as your club. You indicated that those years and the money spent was a waste.I'm saying that the success in winning numerous trophies and beating many many football league teams in the FA cup..etc,was not a wasted time ,but the best ever period for the club,a time that coinsided with money being put into the club.

PS.. If you get bar receits, they why do you not pay your players expenses? Who keeps the money from that and the gate receits? Enfield Town have managed to pay their players expenses and build and improve their facilities TOTALLY through gate receits. We have no financial backers or a chairman who funds the club.Every penny that comes through the gate and from sponsers, go's back into the club,in either players expenses or for ground improvements. What sort of gates do you get.Anything over 100-150, then you really have a duty to provide your players with travel expenses out of your gate profits.

I think a Corinthian Casuals fan typed 'Corinthian' in the search engine, and it came up with Stephs post (many moons ago) that featured the word 'Corinthian'.

I don't believe that the details of the groundshare agreement have ever been kept secret from Brimsdown members. I think you'll find that many of the ground improvements are, in fact, required by Brimsdown and certainly contribute to their ability to attract players, etc.

You also have to bear in mind the terms upon which BSSC occupy the site.

Our gate receipts which are very small amount to about 10% of the cost of running 3 Senior teams 15 Junior Teams aLadies and a girls Team. We pay a commercial rate for the lease on our ground and hire numerous other Pitches and Training facilities.

I can't see what it has to do with people how other clubs are run and if all clubs were exactly the same it would be a bloody boring world.

That would be revolutionary we have only just allowed them to stop paying the annual membership fee, before we consider expenses we perhaps should debate if it is acceptable to continue with the £10 match fee they all pay.

I didn't think players paying 'subs' at senior level, was tollerated by the FA.
