Once Southend United came out the draw I just KNEW what team(s) would be coming up next! Surely the players will want to win tomorrow just that bit extra, the fans will be singing that bit louder and the atmosphere will that bit more special.

Wish I could be there. Good luck boys and have a good day all

Ahh, how I wish for a player like Minton at Orient now.

Even though he was fat and lazy, he'd be better than some of the crap we have now.

Sarah, Jeff Minton can never be described as fat/lazy since he`s played for Canvey, maybe Orient bored him? Come down to Park Lane and see how he`s doing now.

You sad little shrimp, shows how sad you are boasting about a narrow 2-1 win against a non-league side.
Lets see who is boasting this time. We fully expect to beat you this time we have already done it in a friendly and will do it for real this time.
Says a lot for Southend United when the only time they get a full house is against a non-league team. Still next year all your games will be against non-leagues teams so your gates will improve.

I think Orient are 'ruining decent players' specialists.

With some of the players we've got, like Alexander and Miller, you'd expect us to at leats be in a play off position, but nooooo. It seems that would be too normal, so all our players pretend they don't know the meaning of 'passing', 'crossing' and 'shooting'. Probably some others aswell.

is this the same "non-league" side that you lot insist is been the best thing since someone sliced up a loaf of bread and said "that's brilliant"?!

It's local derby, pikey, so it's bound to cause a bit interest locally. But it will be interesting to see just how much your hugely "impressive" average gate of, what, 500? will turn out on the day. 3,500 last time; where'd they all go?! Probably the same place that our extra 5,000 went ...

Still, at least Fat Greedy Jeff won't be able to charge us all £25 for a ticket ... although that probably won't stop the greedy bar steward from trying.

See you next weekend.

Honestly, stick a few ex-league "Has beens" in their team and they think they are conference bound!

The teams on the day will do the talking and Steve Wignall will bring his flute!

You will see "The rats" run out of town!

Round 2 here we come! Colchester United - Home!

For your information I live in Southend but I prefer to watch Canvey as they are a better team who play football the way it should be played.
I will gladly meet you face to face at anytime to see if you will insult me to my face if you have the guts to come out from behind your computer.

Glad to see that there are other Canvey fans living in Southend.
I think there are quite a few ex-southend fans who have started to follow Canvey.
There is no big time charlies in the Canvey side all the players are happy to come into the bar after the game and have a chat with the fans.
There is no doubt Canvey have 5 or 6 players who walk into any 3rd Division side that why I am really confident of us getting a result.
