After 68 minutes the score stood at a breathless 4-4 at which point both teams ran out of puff. There were no goals in extra time, but the visitor’s finished with nine men. The referee had a horrible afternoon and waved a yellow card on countless occasions, but he failed to spot those responsible for two punch-ups then, lost control. The only way he could regain some sort of rule was to send off the next who transgressed. On 105 minutes, the referee had his men, both from Berkhamsted for foul and abusive language. The referee should have cleared out Berkhamsted’s bench for the same reason.
